Estima-se que por ano ocorram mais de 15 milhões de partos prematuros, tratando-se a prematuridade de uma epidemia mundial. Os recém-nascidos prematuros (RNP) podem passar por complicações relacionadas à sua idade gestacional, dentre elas alterações na cavidade bucal como: defeito do esmalte dos dentes temporários, máoclusão, alterações na anatomia do palato, dificuldade de amamentação e maior incidência de cáries. Objetivo: Avaliar se o tempo de atuação na pediatria influencia no conhecimento de médicos pediatras e residentes em pediatria acerca das alterações bucais associadas à prematuridade. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo observacional analítico transversal, de caráter exploratório e quantitativo. Onde participaram 87 pediatras e 13 residentes de pediatria atuantes na cidade de Maceió/Alagoas, Brasil. Os dados foram coletados entre novembro de 2020 e abril de 2021, por meio de um questionário enviado eletronicamente, composto por 13 questões, abordando o perfil profissional; conhecimento sobre prematuridade e alterações bucais (ABs). Foi realizada uma análise estatística dos dados com a técnica de associação entre variáveis de chi-quadrado ( 2 ), sendo consideradas significativas as interferências com um p-valor menor que 0.05. Resultados e discussão: Observou-se associação estatisticamente significativa entre o tempo de atuação na pediatria e ter conhecimento de que alterações bucais podem estar relacionadas com a prematuridade, aos acertos quanto a quais fatores relacionados à prematuridade podem estar mais associados à prematuridade, e quais as lesões orais ou alterações tem maior impacto para o recém-nascido prematuro. Observou-se, também, associação estatisticamente significativa entre o tempo de atuação na pediatria e o encaminhamento dos pacientes prematuros ao profissional odontopediatra, e ao fato de a temática desta pesquisa fazer parte do seu cotidiano. Adicionalmente, 90% dos participantes demonstraram interesse em saber mais sobre o tema. Conclusão: O conhecimento dos profissionais que atuam há mais tempo na pediatria foi considerado maior quando comparado aos demais profissionais em 3 de 5 perguntas específicas acerca do tema. Dessa forma, ressalta-se a importância de uma maior abordagem sobre saúde bucal entre os médicos, bem como de uma maior interação interdisciplinar com a odontopediatria para um melhor seguimento destes pacientes.
RESUMOO objetivo principal deste estudo foi demonstrar a eficácia e resposta do Dienogeste no tratamento da endometriose, a partir de evidências em estudos primários publicados nos últimos cinco anos. A metodologia empregada é de revisão bibliográfica do tipo sistemática, onde utilizou-se a Avaliação de Risco de Viés Cochrane como ferramenta de análise para elegibilidade de estudos com resultados confiáveis. Entre os sete ensaios clínicos randomizados aplicados em mulheres adultas férteis, diagnosticadas com endometriose, com idade entre 18-45 anos, tratadas com 2 mg/dia de Dienogeste (DNG) por período prolongado (12-24-36-60 meses), seis foram considerados "confiáveis", segundo a Cochrane. Os estudos primários revisados demonstraram que a substância DNG tem boa tolerância, segurança e eficácia no tratamento de sintomas graves como a dor pélvica crônica (EAPP), além de prevenir contra cirurgia de ressecção recorrente, em especial na região retossigmoide, fatores que incidem diretamente na QVRS dessa população.
