Este foi um estudo experimental que originou-se do Programa de Apoio à Iniciação Científica da Universidade do Estado do Amazonas. Foi realizado com 43 pré-adolescentes de ambos os sexos, alunos dos 8° e 9° anos, com idades entre 13 e 14 anos da escola Estadual Luizinha Nascimento, em Manaus-AM. De abordagem quantitativa, de natureza aplicada, quanto aos seus objetivos é descritiva e experimental quanto aos procedimentos. Analisou-se a coordenação motora através do instrumento KTK (Körperkoordination Test für Kinder), teste composto por quatro tarefas psicomotoras para avaliação das capacidades motoras coordenativas e condicionantes. Os dados foram registrados em ficha de registro dos scores obtidos das tarefas e analisados pelo Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) versão 20.0. As variáveis de agrupamento sexo e idade foram analisadas por meio do teste t-student para variáveis independentes (p=<0,05) com o objetivo de identificar as diferenças significativas nas variáveis supracitadas. Encontrou-se prevalência em insuficiência de coordenação e distúrbio de coordenação nas pré-adolescentes de 13 anos, entretanto, a avaliação da coordenação motora global pode identificar possíveis distúrbios no desenvolvimento da coordenação. Os alunos com 14 anos obtiveram resultados melhores do que os com 13 anos. No entanto, os resultados não foram estatisticamente significativos em todos os subtestes. Os pré-adolescentes apresentaram melhores resultados em relação à Coordenação Boa e Coordenação Normal e o mínimo em Perturbação na Coordenação e Insuficiência na Coordenação.
