Os medicamentos desempenham um papel fundamental na proteção e recuperação da saúde das pessoas, além de auxiliarem na manutenção e na melhoria da qualidade de vida da população em geral. Existem três tipos de medicamentos: referência, genérico e similar. O presente estudo tem como objetivo avaliar o conhecimento e a utilização de medicamentos genérico, similar e de referência por pacientes de uma Unidade Básica de Saúde na cidade de Montes Claros – MG. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, transversal, quantitativo e com a amostra de 45 pessoas, sendo 26 do sexo feminino e 19 do sexo masculino, com a faixa etária de 61 anos acima (42,2%). Os sujeitos desta pesquisa responderam um questionário semiestruturado, que abordou características do entrevistado como idade, sexo, grau de escolaridade, renda familiar e aspectos relacionados com a sua percepção sobre os diferentes tipos de medicamentos e sua utilização. Dos entrevistados, 62,2% fazem uso contínuo de medicamentos, 71,1 % afirmam conhecer mais sobre os medicamentos genéricos, 66,7% utilizam medicamentos genéricos, visto que este tipo de medicamento possuí mais acessibilidade do usuário por apresentarem um menor custo em relação aos de referência e ainda por a maior parte das vezes ser o mais distribuído gratuitamente pelas UBSs e pelo Programa Aqui Tem Farmácia Popular. Conclui-se um alto grau de utilização dos medicamentos genéricos pelos pacientes, mas estes possuem pouco conhecimento sobre os três tipos de medicamentos presente no mercado.
Introdução: O Diabetes Mellitus Gestacional refere-se a qualquer intolerância à glicose, de importância variável, com início ou diagnóstico durante a gestação. Já a gravidez gemelar é uma gestação de risco para o feto e para a mãe. Objetivo: Objetivou-se relatar o caso de uma gestante portadora de Diabetes Mellitus Gestacional em gravidez gemelar. Resultados: Único estudo de caso, com paciente de 33 anos, com gravidez gemelar, portadora do diabetes mellitus gestacional (DMG), que antes de ser diagnosticada não se preocupava com a alimentação e após o diagnóstico da DMG alterou sua rotina alimentar. Conclusão: Verificou-se que a paciente tinha entendimento sobre a DMG e isso influenciou em uma mudança de seus hábitos alimentares na busca por uma gestação com menos riscos maternos e neonatais e qualidade de vida.
O uso racional dos antimicrobianos é importante para se evitar seleção de cepas bacterianas resistentes e as prescrições se tornam uma ferramenta fundamental, desde que o profissional prescritor ao se aviar esteja atento as orientações da RDC 20/2011. O objetivo deste trabalho foi de analisar as prescrições de antimicrobianos dispensados por uma drogaria no norte de Minas Gerais. Trate-se de um estudo de campo de caráter observacional, quantitativo e documental das segundas vias das prescrições de antimicrobianos dispensados por uma drogaria privada durante o período de setembro de 2017 a fevereiro de 2018. No total foram analisadas 1538 prescrições, sendo que 55,5% foram aviadas para pacientes do sexo feminino e 71,3% foram emitidas no âmbito do SUS. Destas receitas 72,6% estavam na forma manuscrita e 81,1% foram classificadas como legíveis, 18,1% pouco legíveis e 0,8% como ilegíveis. A amoxicilina (22,0%) e a azitromicina (17,5%) foram os antimicrobianos mais prescritos. O clínico geral se destacou na pesquisa (68,3%). Conclui-se com a importância de se realizar estudos sobre analises de prescrições de para se conhecer a realidade sobre o uso de antimicrobianos nas diversas localidades do país, na busca por um uso racional destes medicamentos.
Objetivo: Verificar o perfil dos pacientes com incontinência urinária atendidos em uma clínica escola. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva de caráter quantitativo e retrospectivo. Forma utilizados prontuários de pacientes atendidos na área de fisioterapia uroginecológica em uma clínica escola localizada na cidade de Montes Claros – MG, no período de janeiro de 2017 e julho de 2022. Resultados: Cinquenta prontuários de pacientes com idade entre 5 a 80 anos participaram do estudo, com predomínio do sexo feminino (84,0%), todos com incontinência urinária e que apresentam histórico de infecção urinária prévias (90,0%). Como causadores de perda urinária, metade dos pacientes relatou a tosse como fator predominante, sendo que 50% dos participantes relatou que gotas era a quantidade de urina perdida. A maioria dos pacientes (80%) não foi submetida a nenhum tipo de cirurgia. Em relação ao tipo de parto, 90% das mulheres entrevistadas passaram por parto normal. Os resultados também mostram que 100% dos pacientes não eram obesos, 90% fazem uso de medicamentos, 70% não pratica nenhum tipo de atividade física e 75% tiveram ausente a contração voluntária. Além disso, 10% apresentaram dor ao toque vaginal e a sensibilidade esteve presente em 90% dos pacientes. Conclusão: Trabalhos futuros poderão ser desenvolvidos, a fim de elaborar programas de tratamento e medidas preventivas que visem obter maior eficiência e qualidade do serviço prestado a pacientes com essa condição clínica.
