We propose a directive broadband and high gain Vivaldi antenna in the Ka‐band (26–40 GHz) for 5G applications. To increase the gain of this antenna, we use a substrate lens and the quasi‐substrate integrated waveguide structure with the aim of reducing reflected waves and emphasizing the traveling waves. With this method, the gain is increased by 4.5 dBi in average and 7.5 dBi in the peak. The antenna has a good impedance matching in the whole band.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
