YouTube as a Pedagogical Tool for Teaching Genetics in the Sars-CoV-2 Pandemic RESUMO Com a pandemia de Covid-19 as instituições de ensino foram obrigadas a aderir ao ensino remoto ou híbrido para a continuidade do ano letivo escolar, requisitando dos professores a reinvenção de suas estratégias didáticas, como o uso de videoaulas do YouTube. Este trabalho é justificado pela essencialidade da apreciação dos conteúdos educacionais compartilhados em mídias digitais. Assim, a pesquisa objetivou avaliar e analisar 10 videoaulas disponibilizadas no YouTube sobre Genética. A metodologia utilizada foi a de pesquisa quali-quantitativa com teor exploratório e descritivo. Dessa forma, criou-se uma Rubrica de Avaliação para avaliar as 10 videoaulas selecionadas. Os critérios de avaliação foram a Linguagem, Duração, Conteúdo e Imagens Ilustrativas. Os resultados obtidos demonstram que o Canal Descomplica com 3,54 milhões de inscritos, é o canal com maior número de inscritos dentre os canais analisados. Constatou-se que com relação às Imagens Ilustrativas 50% das videoaulas eram excelentes, sobre o Conteúdo 60% das videoaulas eram excelentes, acerca da Duração 20% também eram excelentes e quanto a Linguagem 40% das videoaulas foram classificadas como Excelentes. Conclui-se que são perceptíveis as potencialidades que a plataforma YouTube apresenta como uma estratégia exequível para alçar a aprendizagem significativa de temas correlacionados a Genética.
