Objetivo: analisar o perfil das notificações de violência perpetrada contra crianças e adolescentes. Método: trata-se de um estudo quantitativo, descritivo, exploratório, retrospectivo, de 2014 a 2015, com 85 casos de violência perpetrada contra crianças e adolescentes. Utilizaram-se os dados provenientes do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação. Obteve-se a análise dos perfis epidemiológicos por meio da estatística descritiva. Resultados: verificou-se que a violência foi prevalente em crianças com idades entre dez a 14 anos (36,47%), pardas (90,59%), do sexo feminino (83,53%), com Ensino Fundamental (60,60%) e que 98,82% não possuíam alguma deficiência ou transtorno. Revela-se que o tipo de violência mais comum foi a psicológica/moral (43,66%) e o meio de agressão prevalente foi a ameaça (51,92%) praticada na residência (75,29%) da vítima por amigos/conhecidos (47,06%) do sexo masculino (91,76%). Conclusão: evidenciou-se, um aumento no número de casos de violência contra as crianças e adolescentes pardas, do sexo feminino e com Ensino Fundamental, sendo que o tipo de violência mais comum foi a violência psicológica/moral por meio de ameaças praticadas por amigos/conhecidos na residência da vítima. Objective: To analyze the degree of incapacity in leprosy patients assisted between the years of 2012 and 2016. Method: Epidemiological and documentary study, based on cases reported by Sinan de Caxias - MA, from 2012 to 2016. all cases of leprosy reported during the period, totaling 372 patients. For the data analysis, absolute and percentage distributions were obtained. Epi Info software (version 3.7 for Windows) was used. Results: Leprosy mainly affects individuals of brown color, male and with a median age of 50 years. There is a predominance of degree 0 of physical disability, of the dimorphic and virchowian clinical form, indicating the late detection of the disease. Conclusion: The cases with physical disabilities mainly affect patients with positive bacilloscopy and multibacillary clinical forms, considered as the main source of infection of the disease, maintenance of the transmission chain and contributing to the appearance of disabilities.
Introdução: os parasitas gastrintestinais são causas de morbidade em crianças, podendo determinar quadros de anemia e diarréria. Poder estar associados as condições socioeconômicas, saneamento básico e práticas de higiene. Objetivo: O objetivo desta pesquisa foi identificar as parasitoses intestinais e os fatores de riscos associados em crianças menores de 12 anos cadastradas em duas Unidades Básicas de Saúde do município de Caxias, estado do Maranhão. Metodologia: Neste estudo observacional e transversal 422 exames coproparasitológicos pela técnica de Hoffman, Pons e Janner foram realizados. Para comparar as proporções utilizou-se o teste Qui-quadrado (X2) ou teste exato de Fisher. Empregou-se análises univariadas e multivariadas por regressão logística para avaliar a associação entre a infecção por enteroparasitas e os fatores de riscos. Resultados: A frequência de parasitas intestinais foi 49,05%, sendo predominante o Ascaris lumbricoides (68,18%) e a Entamoeba sp. (65,38%). Conforme a análise estatística, ingerir água sem tratamento domiciliar e não lavar as mãos antes das refeições podem ser considerados como fatores de risco para as enteropatias parasitárias. Conclusão: Ressalta-se a necessidade de implementar políticas públicas que visem reduzir as altas taxas destes parasitas, e que contribuam para melhorar a qualidade de vida dessa população.
Resumo Pesquisa qualitativa, exploratória, descritiva com o objetivo de conhecer e descrever como o tratamento medicamentoso a hipertensão repercute na vida sexual do homem, utilizando-se como método de coleta de dados uma entrevista semi-estruturada com 14 hipertensos do sexo masculino cadastrados no HIPERDIA e acompanhados nas diversas Unidades Básicas de Saúde na cidade(UBS) de Caxias-MA. A coleta de dados ocorreu entre os dias 30 de maio e 05 de junho de 2012. A pesquisa em questão demonstrou que os anti-hipertensivos empregados na terapêutica da hipertensão arterial trazem dificuldades e constrangimentos para a vida dos hipertensos, uma vez que os mesmo causam efeitos colaterais que prejudicam a vida sexual dos doentes. AbstractQualitative, exploratory and descriptive research aimed to understand and describe how the drug treatment of hypertension affects the sexual life of man, using as a method of data collection a semi-structured interviews with 14 hypertensive male registered in HIPERDIA and accompanied in the various basic health units (BHU) in the city of Caxias, MA. Data collection occurred between May 30 and June 5, 2012. The research in question showed that the antihypertensive drugs used in treatment of hypertension make it constraints and difficult for the life of hypertensive patients, since the same cause side effects that impair the sexual life of patients.Descritores: anti-hipertensivos, hipertensos, disfunção sexual, enfermagem.
Objetivo: analisar o perfil epidemiológico e a distribuição espacial dos casos notificados de HIV/AIDS em crianças e gestantes. Método: trata-se de um estudo quantitativo, descritivo, retrospectivo, epidemiológico, transversal. Compôs-se a amostra por todos os casos de gestantes soropositivas notificadas como infectadas com o HIV no SINAN e crianças com AIDS registradas no SIM, entre 1º de janeiro de 2008 e 31 de dezembro de 2016. Obtiveram-se os dados por meio do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação e do Sistema de Informação sobre Mortalidade, em residentes no município. Resultados: notificou-se um total de 37 casos de gestantes soropositivas, sendo estas jovens com idades entre 16 e 20 anos (32,5%), pardas (70,3%), com menos de oito anos de estudo (70,3%) e donas de casa (59,5%). Registraram-se apenas três casos de crianças com AIDS. Conclusão: conclui-se que o aumento na taxa de incidência de HIV em gestantes, bem como os casos registrados de óbitos em crianças pela AIDS, evidencia a falha na assistência prestada a esses indivíduos. Los datos se obtuvieron a través del Sistema de Información de Agravios de Notificación y del Sistema de Información de Mortalidad en residentes del municipio. Resultados: se informaron un total de 37 casos de mujeres embarazadas seropositivas, siendo estas mujeres jóvenes de 16 a 20 años (32.5%), marrones (70.3%), con menos de ocho años de estudio (70.3 %) y amas de casa (59.5%). Solo hubo tres casos de niños con SIDA. Conclusión: se concluye que el aumento en la tasa de incidencia de VIH en mujeres embarazadas, así como los casos reportados de muertes en niños por SIDA, muestran el fracaso en la atención brindada a estas personas.
