Esta diferença estrutural pode justificar o fato de nenhum dos óleos avaliados no presente estudo apresentar atividade frente às bactérias Gram negativas testadas. CONCLUSÃODentre os produtos avaliados no presente estudo, os óleos industrializado e não industrializado de copaíba foram os mais efetivos, apresentando atividade antimicrobiana frente a bactérias Gram-positivas (S. aureus e E. faecalis) com concentrações mínimas inibitórias relevantes (0,36% e 3,12%, respectivamente). Assim, os conhecimentos populares foram comprovados quanto à utilização do produto para tratar infecções, por exemplo. Além disso, novos estudos podem ser realizados objetivando a formulação de produtos farmacêuticos utilizando o óleo de copaíba e/ou seus componentes fitoquímicos isolados.Mesmo havendo relatos na literatura de que os óleos de coco e pequi possuem potencial antimicrobiano, tais produtos não inibiram o crescimento dos microrganismos testados.Novos estudos podem ser realizados utilizando outras metodologias, além de variações nas concentrações dos óleos e outras formas de diluição.
