The aim of this paper is to define a Lefschetz coincidence class for several maps. More specifically, for maps f 1,. .. , f k : X → N from a topological space X into a connected closed n-manifold (even nonorientable) N , a cohomological class L(f1,. .. , f k) ∈ H n(k−1) (X; (f1,. .
Let (X, A) be a pair of topological spaces, T : X → X a free involution and A a T -invariant subset of X. In this context, a question that naturally arises is whether or not all continuous maps f : X → R k have a T -coincidence point, that is, a point x ∈ X with f (x) = f (T (x)). In this paper, we obtain results of this nature under cohomological conditions on the spaces A and X.
Given two maps h : X × K → R and g : X → K such that, for all x ∈ X, h(x, g(x)) = 0, we consider the equilibrium problem of findingx ∈ X such that h(x, g(x)) ≥ 0 for every x ∈ X. This question is related to a coincidence problem.Mathematics Subject Classification (2010). Primary 49J40; Secondary 55M20.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
