The aim of the study lies in assessing the transformations of the global business environment due to the spread of the pandemic. The academic paper has determined that COVID-19 has affected all countries of the world and has caused significant economic reductions, increasing inequality, awareness of the importance of technology to support business. Support and development of business in new conditions will depend on the ability to adapt to a new market with new consumer needs. A new market environment has been shaped by the movement restrictions imposed by almost all countries to provide restrain the disease from spreading. The new environment has stimulated businesses to find efficient working conditions and motivate employees, realizing the potential of new ways of working. Due to the growing uncertainty of the global business environment, companies should be more flexible and plan their activities, consumer needs, expand activities within domestic markets. Reorientation and redirection of production will become new ways of adapting under the conditions of limited financial resources. Along with this, the issue arises concerning the social consequences of the pandemic and the global change in habits and needs of the population.
The purpose of the research is to study the components and problems inhibiting the development of the interrelationship of economic, marketing, educational aspects in the innovative development of the transport sector. The methodological base is as follows: methods of sociological analysis and conducting surveys on the “Typeform” platform, methods of bibliometric and patent analysis, which are based on search platforms Web of Science and Derwent Innovation. 1000 economists, marketing experts, teachers, and students took part in the survey (Ukraine). It has been determined that the economic aspects consist of the creation and development of a full-fledged international transport and logistics center; a network formation of transportation and logistics hubs; development of multimodal transportation, introduction of modern information and control systems, renewal of the vehicle fleet, incentives towards creation of large local freight forwarders. The problematic issues of the sector have been outlined. It has been found out that the principal directions of innovative development are integration of machine-building and information technologies into transportation tools and infrastructure, etc.
The article considers the competitive advantages of the sea freight fleet in comparison with other types of transport: large capacity and load capacity, which allows you to transport large amounts of cargo; low cost of long-distance transportation; the possibility of using containers that protect the cargo; environmental friendliness of transportation. The factors of competitiveness of modern seaports are systematized: port location; depths near port berths and dimensions of approach channels; the length of the port berth line, the number of berths, their adaptability to handle certain types of vessels and cargo; load-carrying capacity and productivity of lifting and transport equipment of the port; speed of operations; availability of storage facilities, availability of reserve areas for port development; capacity of existing transport communications, port and hinterland; the quantity and quality of regular shipping lines and the potential for intermodal transport to hinterland points; price and set of basic and additional port services; the level of information support of the port, etc. One of the sources of replenishment of the country's budget can be the efficient operation of transport infrastructure, in particular seaports due to the successful geostrategic location of Ukraine. The necessity of forming the concept of management of innovative development of seaports of Ukraine due to their lack of experience in carrying out innovative activities and development in a competitive environment is proved. The methodological basis for the management of innovation development should be systemic, situational, integrated and process approaches. The concept of managing the innovative development of the seaport is proposed, which harmoniously combines the formation of innovation capacity, improvement of strategic planning and measures for successful implementation of strategic plans, including marketing support, organizational support, change management and innovation culture. The proposed concept allows to introduce innovative development of the seaport by constantly adapting to the changing market conditions.
