Two kinds of phosphole-and benzodithiophene-based copolymers bearing P V =O or P V =NSO 2 C 8 H 17 functions were prepared by Pd-CuI-promoted Stille coupling reactions, and their optical and electrochemical properties were investigated. Bulk heterojunction organic photovoltaic devices com-[a]
Novel donor–acceptor alternating polymers containing an electron-rich five-membered ring in azulene as a donor unit and diketopyrrolopyrrole or 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole unit as an acceptor unit were synthesized. The azulene-based copolymers displayed broad absorption bands in the visible region. The photovoltaic devices consisting of the polymer and a fullerene derivative ([70]PCBM) showed power conversion efficiencies up to 0.39% under simulated AM 1.5G irradiation of 100 mW cm−2.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
