Negative processes occurring in the natural environment, under dynamic economy development, have become a factor for taking actions limiting destructive human activity. An important area in which initiatives are taken to improve the state of the natural environment is that of companies in the Transport-Shipping-Logistics Sector (TSL sector). The main objective of this article was to analyse the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the development of electromobility among companies in the Polish TSL sector, and identify factors that positively influenced or hindered its development during this time. For this purpose, qualitative and quantitative data analyses were carried out based on a literature review, statistical data, and direct research results. Descriptive statistics, chi-square test of concordance, and contingency coefficients were used to process the data. The results showed that the pandemic period did not affect the development of electromobility among TSL companies. Only a few companies own electric cars in Poland. Many of them did not plan to purchase this type of vehicle during the pandemic. The main factors influencing the decisions of entrepreneurs during the study period were the availability of charging infrastructure and electricity price uncertainty. The results of the study can be used by stakeholders of this sector in Poland.
Road accidents and, above all, their negative consequences are a serious problem worldwide. Preventing them is a challenge that involves many actions taken by governments, international organisations, economic operators, and non- -profit organisations. The actions that are to lead to a significant reduction in the number of casualties and fatalities are considered essential. In order to make a significant change in this field, it is necessary to take rational action. In Poland, the objectives for the improvement of road safety and the methods of achieving them were endorsed in the National Road Safety Programme 2013–2020. As the period of these seven years is to come to an end, this article will present the achieved results for years 2010–2018 in relation to the main causes of accidents induced by drivers.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the higher education sector. The transfer of teaching activities to the web has seriously increased the likelihood of successful cyber-attacks on the student user group of the Internet. This paper explores the relationship between remote teaching and online student safety. 622 students from three Polish universities participated in the study. It was found that: (1) during remote teaching, students' main activities were browsing content posted by lecturers and participating in teaching activities. (2) Students primarily communicated via Facebook (93.09%), (3) The most common cyber threats encountered by students were spam, online auction scams and communication fraud. (4) Students' cybersecurity knowledge and security level in cyberspace is at an average level. (5) Students change their account passwords not at all (25.88%) or less often than once a year (39.87%),
