Over the past decade, the use of smart waste monitoring systems has become a popular way of waste management. This system generally makes it easier for scavengers and household users to monitor the status of the level of waste in the trash. This study aims to create an innovative IoT-based intelligent waste monitoring system to facilitate waste monitoring for households. The proposed system consists of the first 3 important parts, an IoT-based household trash bin monitoring system. Second, the smart trash can monitor system uses 2 sensors, namely ultrasonic sensors and load cell sensors. Third, display a full indicator on the web if it has reached the maximum height or weight limit of garbage. Meanwhile, the evaluation of the system is carried out by testing the accuracy of the weight and height values of the waste on the smart waste system and using the black-box method for testing application features. The proposed smart trash bin has been tested manually using a ruler for measuring the height of the trash compared to measurements using a height sensor resulting in an average gap error of 0.08 cm. While the results of the comparison of measuring waste weight using a scale in kg compared to measuring waste weight using a weight sensor resulted in an average gap error of 0.03 kg. The test results are close to the actual height and weight of the garbage. The main contribution of this research is a system to monitor the volume of waste in the trash that can be linked to the application of waste collection service management for residential environments. Smart trash can users can monitor the condition of the waste by looking at the high level and weight indicators of the waste on the web application when it reaches the maximum then sending an order message to the waste collection manager for waste.
Tomatoes are a popular vegetable in Indonesia, where production increases every year according to market demand. The large production requires proper post-harvest handling both in quality and time. It has been well-known that sorting and grading are the first and foremost processes in the post-harvest process of tomatoes. Sorting tomatoes can be conducted by color and adjusted to the target market. The automation process in the post-sorting and grading process can save time and resources. This research proposes a sorting system that sorts tomatoes based on color, size, and weight. Tomatoes are sorted by red, yellow, and green colors. The detection of color and size was carried out by image processing with the OpenCV library. The color detection was carried out by HSV's red, yellow, and green values. In comparison, the dimensional measurement was carried out by determining the outermost point of the detected object both vertically and horizontally. At the same time, tomatoes' weight was measured by a weight sensor. This system was implemented into a prototype sorting system with a webcam, Arduino, a conveyor, and motors. The final part was a storage box used to accommodate tomatoes based on grading. The implementation has the maximum results for detecting color with 100% accuracy and measuring weight with 95% accuracy. However, it still needs development for dimensional measurements. In this research, it has only 5% accuracy. This proposed system can be used both in software and hardware design as an inline tomato sorting tool.
Islam sebagai agama besar mengalami dinamika yang panjang sehingga dalam perjalanannya terpecah menjadi beberapa kelompok pemikiran. Dari sekian banyak gerakan pemikiran Islam yang ada, salah satunya adalah gerakan Salafi dan HTI. Keduanya dipengaruhi oleh kebangkitan kembali gerakan Islam di Timur Tengah yang berkembang pesat di Indonesia (sebelum HTI dilarang oleh pemerintah Indonesia pada tahun 2017). Penelitian ini mencoba menelusuri pemikiran kedua gerakan tersebut dan menelusuri bagaimana kedua gerakan tersebut dapat berkembang, khususnya di Yogyakarta. Penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam penelitian ini dan menggunakan wawancara mendalam serta studi pustaka untuk memperoleh data. Secara umum studi ini menunjukkan bahwa gerakan dakwah salafi lebih bersifat apolitis, sedangkan HTI sangat politis. Perbedaan ini bersumber dari bentuk tafsir dalam memandang dakwah Nabi Muhammad SAW. Tak ayal perbedaan antara keduanya terus menjadi perang pemikiran. Perluasan kedua gerakan Islam ini di Indonesia pada umumnya dan Yogyakarta pada khususnya tidak lepas dari metode dakwah kampus yang dinilai efektif karena mahasiswa memiliki rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi dan lebih terbuka terhadap sesuatu yang baru.
In cultivating timber trees, farmers must pay attention to the seed selection with superior heredity, hormones, and the condition of the plantation area that supports the growth of nursery plants properly. Several factors that support the growth of nursery plants are nutritional factors, sunlight, temperature, soil pH, water, and soil moisture. In terms of effectiveness and ease of access to information in monitoring the supporting condition factors and facilitating the farmers, an Android-based monitoring system was built to monitor the growth of nursery plants. The system consists of several sensors, such as a soil pH sensor, UV light sensor, and soil moisture sensor embedded with Raspberry pi and firebase. The proposed system was examined on a plantation area of 900 square meters. The testing is conducted by placing a combination of 4 to 8 sensors in the plantation area. Data from each sensor is processed by calculating the average, and the results are rounded to the nearest value. The test stated that to monitor an area of 900 square meters, the area with five sensors implanted can be used as the optimal implementation. Apart from economic reasons, the minor rounding error equals 8.25% compared to the number of other sensors. The results that are informed to the farmers are also within the appropriate range. There are no significant differences, and this approach can be used to implement in a broader area
Desa Rancatungku terletak di kecamatan Pameungpeuk, kabupaten Bandung. Desa Rancatungku merupakan desa pecahan dari sesa Bojongkunci, Kecamatan Pameungpeuk. Data statistic menyebutkan sebanyak 43% masyarakat desa ini belum bekerja atau menjadi buruh lepas harian di industri yang berada di sekitar desa. Dengan kepadatan sebesar 3.723 jiwa per km2, potensi physical contact antar masyarakat menjadi cukup besar. Masyarakat desa ini juga masih memiliki kebiasaan membuang sampah di sungai yang membelah desa. Di masa pandemi COVID-19 ini, dua masalah tersebut dapat memicu transmisi lokal. Untuk itu dibutuhkan media sebagai sarana edukasi agar masyarakat dapat beraktifitas dengan memperhatikan rambu-rambu kesehatan agar terhindar dari COVID-19 dan berpartisipasi aktif memutus transmisinya. Media berupa materi cetak dan interaktif dibuat oleh tim dari akademik Universitas Telkom dan akan disosialisasikan melalui perangkat desa dan tenaga ahli. Selain itu, akan diserahkan beberapa perangkat kesehatan untuk membantu masyarakat desa dalam menghadapi pandemi ini.
