The purpose of this study is to see how the role or perception of students in the peer group about achievement motivation and religiosity that exists in themselves. The research method uses qualitative case studies. The informants in this study involved 9 students divided into 3 peer groups with the characteristics of each and 1 teaching staff. The results showed that according to individuals in the peer group, the academic motivation and non-academic motivation achievement of their students was influenced by friends in the peer group, and religiosity could influence their achievement motivation. Religiosity can itself influence achievement motivation, and can be formed in a peer group so that it indirectly influences achievement motivation in students.
Education is still not answer the expectations of the people, they always questioned the relevance of education by a variety of community needs in the dynamics of economic, social, political, legal and cultural. A new paradigm of education changes to quality (quality oriented) is one of the strategies to achieve educational excellence in meeting the demands and needs of the community. Therefore necessary institutional strengthening capacity (Capacity Building) of the Madrasah. Community empowerment-based creative economy programme through the madrasah were necessary. One of the selected empowerment utilizing waste products worth selling. On the other side of the creative economy approach is thew into madrasah quality improvement effort in answering the needs of the community in the era of economic globalization. This research aims to improve the quality of economic empowerment through creative schools that work together with the community. The subject of this research is MTs. N. 5 Kulon Progo, located in the village and brought in, (environmental mountain tourism Suroloyo), Ma'arif myocardial infarction and Pagerharjo village (pagerharjo village Government Center neighborhood is located), myocardial infarction and Ngargosari Ma'arif, community mothers dukuh Ngargosari Ngaliyan, Dukuh Trayu Community Ngargosari. The research method used was applying a Research and Development (R&D), with regard to data collection Techniques: observation, indept interview. The strategy of training/mentoring in applying the model of "service learning", with the approach of andragogy. The data analysis used models, Miles and Huberman and Spradley. The results of this study indicate that the training provided to communities and schools to cultivate waste into creative stuff that has value has managed to provide the skills knowledge and abilities are new to them. The subject is able to make a variety of creative stuff from the trash so that gave rise to the idea for the creation of the trash bank as the flagship program in the schools to have better quality.
Background: Yeasts with high protein content are used as single-cell proteins due to their nutritional values and rare pathogenicity. However, the nucleic acid of the yeasts must be removed before consumption to avoid hazards to health. Wickerhamomyces anomalus is an authorized bio-preservative with promising antifungal activity and safety. However, its high protein content associated with high nucleic acid content results in high nitrogen content that imposes additional downstream processing costs due to the nucleic acid removal step required to prevent uric acid precipitation which leads to various health concerns. Objectives: The objectives were to (i) isolate a novel Wickerhamomyces anomalus strain with low nitrogen content and (ii) to optimize the production of W. anomalus biomass through response surface methodology (RSM). Methods: The novel Wickerhamomyces sp. USMAST-TP1 with low nitrogen content was isolated from fermented food and its biomass was optimized through RSM. Results: Wickerhamomyces sp. USMAST-TP1 showed promising tolerance to glycerine pitch with a higher composition of growth-inhibiting impurities where its biomass was not negatively affected by excessive glycerine pitch supply. Upon optimization through RSM, 11.4 g/L biomass harboring protein content of 13% was achieved. Conclusion: The >17-fold lower nitrogen content of 2% indicated low nucleic acid content compared to common W. anomalus strains, thus the costly nucleic acid purification steps can be excluded, easing applications in agro-food industries.
