The microstructure of the cubic perovskite Ba{(Mg Co)1/3Nb2/3}O3-based dielectric has been investigated The secondary phase was determined to be Ba5Nb4O15 this phase was detrimental to the microwave proper ties of Ba{(Mg, Co)1/3Nb2/3}O3. Eliminating the secon dary phase, the precise control of A-site/B-site ratio of the perovskite and long time annealing improved the microwave characteristics.
