The direct conversion of NO to N2 by a continuous microwave stable discharge at atmospheric pressure is reported, and the conversion of NO to N2 is up to 60% or more in the presence of excess O2 or O2 and H2O. The effect of the power of microwave on the conversion of NO is observed, and novel results are obtained.
