The aim of this study is to find out the use of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology (GBPUAT) library collection and services by postgraduate students and research scholars. The scope of the study was limited to the use of library collection and services as well as the postgraduate students and research scholars. Questionnaires were administered randomly among 250 students. A total 137 useable questionnaires were taken for analysis and interpretation. The Likert's scale was also used for designing questionnaire. The findings showed that from the library's collection (books/monographs, reference materials, research reports/bulletins, CD-ROMs, newsletters, periodicals, thesis/dissertations, book reviews and seminars/conference proceedings/ workshops) whereas library services (photocopying, CD-ROM database, online, catalogue, indexing and abstracting, CAS, bibliographical, reference, and lending/circulation) were the most used among the P.G. students and research scholars for different purposes like (research work, project work, study, personal work). It was also observed that CD-ROM databases, e-journals and online databases were the most highly used e-resources. Moreover, electronic and online databases such as AGRIS, AGRICOLA, CAB Abstract and Agriculture & Natural Resources were the most highly used databases among the PG students and research scholars. The study puts forward its recommendations in regards to enhancing the use of collection and services.
The present study investigated the status and impact of social media and networking sites on College of Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences' students of Fiji National University, Fiji. Likert scale was used in the questionnaire. The collected data from 516 (86.00 per cent) usable questionnaires was tabulated and analysed using statistical tools and techniques. The findings showed that the majority of students participated in and satisfied with high usage of Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram accessed through laptops and PCs on daily and weekly basis. The students made their profiles visible only for the well-known people and comforted with notorious postings. The positive impacts as communication with family and friends, participation in networking activities, and involvement in social activities, as well as negative impacts as discontinuation to the sites for misusing their information, distraction from research/assignments/careers activities, continue if the account is hacked, no review of privacy settings for controlling notorious postings, and consume too much time were identified as the utmost effects of social media and SNSs. This study provides opportunity to higher management to review the social software for the benefit of Fiji National University and to carry out future related studies especially in Fiji.

Therefore, the study is focused on users’ opinion not only in terms of use, purpose, and satisfaction level with the library collection and services, but also in terms of use of e-resources, and adequacy of library collection. The questionnaire was administered to students of the IARI to collect data regarding the use of collection and services and analyse the level of users’ satisfaction. The Likert’s scale and chi-square test were also employed. The survey revealed that there exist significant differences not only in the level of usage, purpose, satisfaction of the library collection and services, but also in terms of use of e-resources and adequacy of library collection. The researcher observed that the e-form of collection and services due to their high usage has become a significant part of the library in fulfilling the needs of the postgraduate and research students. To maximise the use of library collection and services, the library should consider all the possible aspects related to users satisfaction. This study highlights the use and non-use of library collection and services, and provides the library management an opportunity to review its collection and services as well as its policies. </p>
