O presente artigo tem por objetivo relatar a experiência de um projeto de extensão que possibilitou o incentivo à prevenção ao câncer de pele. O estudo foi realizado nos municípios da região Amazônica, incluindo: Altamira/PA, Ananindeua/PA; Belém/PA; Cametá/PA; Parauapebas/PA e Porto Velho/RO, de forma presencial e online. Houve a exposição de causas, sintomas, diagnóstico e profilaxia do Câncer de Pele, com o auxílio de panfletos ilustrativos. Foram alcançados 868 participantes, em locais com elevada insolação e buscou-se conhecer a percepção dos usuários quanto às práticas de prevenção ao câncer de pele e seu conhecimento acerca do assunto. Acerca do público alcançado, observou-se diferenças na quantidade de pessoas, variações de faixa etária e de sexo dos participantes a depender do local escolhido para a realização das ações. Além disso, o momento de interação com os participantes da pesquisa proporcionou troca de conhecimentos e oferta de instruções sobre como se deve agir frente à exposição solar diária. Entende-se que ações extensionistas de educação em saúde são essenciais para contribuir com a prevenção ao câncer de pele e para a relação entre o meio acadêmico e a população.
Introdução: Com a adoção do distanciamento social devido à pandemia do COVID-19, algumas instituições de ensino vivenciam novas experiências educacionais, uma vez que houve necessidade de adequação das atividades, antes presenciais, para a realidade virtual. Uma das estratégias utilizadas para prosseguir com as atividades letivas e diminuir a sensação de estagnação diante do cenário atual foi o Ensino Remoto Emergencial (ERE). Descrição do caso: Diante do decreto governamental que paralisou as aulas presenciais, a universidade pública investigada, adotou, em setembro de 2020, o ERE para ministrar conteúdos necessários para o andamento do curso. As principais ferramentas utilizadas na metodologia de ensino foram Google Classroom e Google Meet. Docentes e discentes foram capacitados para utilização das plataformas virtuais. Dessa forma, foram realizadas atividades assíncronas, como postagem de aulas gravadas e roteiros para estudo através do Google Classroom, e síncronas, como conferências no Meet. As avaliações ocorreram de forma online, através de provas, exercícios e formulários. Material e métodos: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo e reflexivo do tipo relato de experiência, vivenciado por alunos do curso de medicina, durante o ERE em uma universidade pública do Estado do Pará, no período de setembro a dezembro de 2020. Foram coletados os relatos dos participantes. Discussão: A utilização dos recursos tecnológicos no ERE exigiu dos professores e dos alunos uma postura inovadora, alinhada às metodologias ativas de ensino, frente à prática pedagógica. Contudo, a utilização desses recursos nem sempre foi eficaz, pois a má qualidade da conexão com a internet e a falta de equipamentos para alguns alunos, tornou-se um problema para assistirem as aulas. Conclusão: Apesar das dificuldades, o ERE tornou viável o ensino dos conteúdos teóricos do curso de medicina durante a pandemia. Estratégias utilizadas durante o período possivelmente serão ampliadas para o ensino presencial.
CAPS) são unidades de atendimento de média a alta complexidade que oferecem, nas diferentes modalidades, tratamento e reinserção social de pessoas com transtorno mental grave. O objetivo desse estudo foi descrever um relato de experiência que analisa a resolutividade dos CAPS de Altamira e a capacidade desses em prestar assistência à população de acordo com o preconizado pela Reforma Psiquiátrica. Através de alunos do curso de medicina da Universidade Federal do Pará, foram realizadas visitas ao CAPS II e ao CAPS i por meio de estágio curricular supervisionado. A coleta de dados se iniciou por meio de entrevistas com perguntas estruturadas e abertas aos funcionários das duas instituições. Além disso, foram utilizadas diários de campos, a partir das observações dos próprios alunos, avaliando estrutura física dos CAPS e a qualidade das equipes. A estrutura física do CAPS II atende aos requisitos e a do CAPS i tem suas deficiências devido ao espaço reduzido. As equipes de saúde detêm uma postura adequada, entretanto, a do CAPS i é mais organizada. Os dois centros convivem com o problema da falta de leitos psiquiátricos no município e o fato de a Unidade de Pronto Atendimento (UPA) ser a única retaguarda. Também foi percebida a necessidade de capacitação contínua dos profissionais para a construção de um meio acolhedor, de organizar a rede de atendimento para atender a alta demanda do município
