This article discusses the role of community-based day-care services in the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities in the Republic of Georgia. The study explores the impact of this service on users' social-adaptive skills, social life and sense of happiness, comparing service users and a matched comparison group. A mixed-methods approach was used to assess the influence of day-care-centre services on social adaptation and integration. Results indicated that the level of social-adaptive skills was higher for day-care-centre participants than for the comparison group along several key dimensions. Similarly, the level of social integration was higher for the day-care-centre group, although the two groups did not differ significantly on reported happiness. The findings from this study revealed that day-care-centre participants with intellectual disabilities enjoyed a greater degree of social interaction and socializing opportunities than their non-participant peers.
This article discusses ways of facilitating social integration for adults with intellectual disabilities in Georgia, by considering experiences from Poland and the USA. Poland has seen recent positive changes and the USA has well-developed policies in this field. What can Georgia learn from the experiences of these countries?

1908 August war was short but claimed many lives. Thousands have been displaced due to combat and bombing. Separation from the native places had a long lasting and severe effect on the well-being of population. Qualitative study was carried out to describe and measure the emotional reaction to war and displacement. Analysis of 5 minutes length narratives of the displaced population registered after 10 and 15 months from displacement by Gottshalk-Gleser method revealed high level of six types of anxiety measured by scales. The comparison of anxiety scores over time points at the persistence of negative emotional state induced by the war and at the importance of displacement, reflected both in number of references to displacement and separation anxiety scale scores.
Natural macromolecular organic substances-fulvic acids take an active part in complex formation processes and stipulate migration forms of heavy metals in natural waters The calculation of the migration forms of heavy metals is one of the problematic issue of the contemporary chemistry, which couldn’t be solved without using the conditional stability constants of fulvate complexes. In spite of researches, experimental data on stability constants of complex compounds of fulvic acids with heavy metals ( among them copper) are heterogeneous and they differ in several lines from each other. One of the reason of such condition is ignoring an average molecular weight of the associates of fulvic acids, which finally causes the wrong results. Complex formation process between copper (II) and fulvic acids was studied by the solubility method at pH=9.0. Cu(OH)2 suspension was used as a solid phase. Fulvic acids were isolated from Paravani lake by the adsorption –chromatographic method. In this article is shown that, during complex formation process every 1/4 part of an associate of fulvic acids(Mw=7610), inculcates into copper's inner coordination sphere as an integral ligand, so it may assume, that the average molecular weight of the associate of fulvic acids which takes part in complex formation process equals to 1903. This part of the associate of fulvic acids was conventionally called an“active associate".The average molecular weight of the“active associate”was used for determination the composition of copper fulvate complex, the concentration of free ligand and stability constant, which equals to 2,25x107
