Abstracts:Adhesion Bridges (acid-etched retainers) have many advantages comparing with conventional fixed prosthodontic treatments. Although they have been applied in many clinical cases, the rational guidance for the design of metal framework has not been studied in terms of resistance for pealing loads. In our study, the effect of thickness and shape of metal frameworks were evaluated by comparing pealing strength (maximum loads under pealing test) using Co-Cr alloy frameworks and acrylic resin block for the substitute for the human teeth. In the results, thicker metal framework showed greater pealing resistance and the proximal extension could be the help for increasing pealing strength.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
