As abelhas são responsáveis por grande parte da polinização cruzada dependente de animais, e sua criação tem relevância tanto econômica quanto ambiental. Portanto, os apicultores e meliponicultores, além de produzirem mel e outros produtos, podem ser importantes no processo de preservação desses insetos. Todavia, as criações sofrem com diversas pragas e doenças, como o ácaro da varroa, a nosemose e a cria ensacada, por exemplo. Ultimamente, outros fatores, como aquecimento global, desmatamento e uso de pesticidas, decorrentes da atividade antrópica, tem causado grande mortalidade de abelhas. Mas, um dos problemas atuais tem sido o furto de colmeias. Desta forma, este trabalho objetivou avaliar a ocorrência de furto na apicultura e meliponicultura, através de questionário semi-estruturado, disponível online, com respostas anônimas e voluntárias. Dos 259 que responderam, 29,1% afirmaram já ter sido furtado. O item mais visado pelos meliantes foi o enxame, pois 83% declararam que já perderam em caixas ou iscas. Apesar do alto índice de furtos, 75,5% não registraram ocorrência e 56,4% não acreditam que o registro tenha algum efeito prático. Desta forma, conclui-se que o homem, apesar de promotor das criações, pode ser considerado uma praga da apicultura e meliponicultura e necessita-se de políticas específicas para a atividade de criação de abelhas.
Uma das principais culturas agrícolas na região Noroeste do Rio Grande do Sul é a Soja. Entre o preparo da área e a comercialização do produto, em produção de grãos existem muitas etapas em que podem ocorrer perdas econômicas para o agricultor, um dos fatores que mais limitam a produtividade é o ataque de pragas e dentre essas os percevejos, Hemiptera Pentatomidae. O objetivo da pesquisa, foi registrar a diversidade, riqueza e dinâmica populacional de espécies de percevejos que ocorrem em lavouras, cultivos perenes e seus entornos ocupados por plantas espontâneas, além de áreas naturais no município de São Luiz Gonzaga (RS). As avaliações ocorreram semanalmente de 2018 a 2020 nos cultivos de Soja e em outros 13 locais, incluindo cultivo de Alfafa, Trigo, Milho, Canola etc. A coleta dos insetos foi feita principalmente com pano de batida e rede de varredura. A espécie de percevejo mais abundante na soja foi o Euschistus heros enquanto que a espécie Thyanta perditor não teve ocorrência. Em canola, cevada e trevo-vesiculoso não foram capturados percevejos, o que pode indicar que essas culturas de inverno podem ser priorizadas em sistemas rotação de culturas com a soja. As culturas vegetais utilizadas nas rotações de culturas em São Luiz Gonzaga permitem a manutenção das populações de percevejos ao longo de todo o ano. Os resultados sugerem que existe a possibilidade de fazer o controle direcionado com inimigos naturais durante os meses sem soja no campo, visando diminuir as populações iniciais da praga, reduzindo a necessidade da aplicação de agrotóxicos.
RESUMO -O objetivo deste trabalho foi capturar as proteínas do extrato de ora-pronobis (OPN, Pereskia aculeata Miller) por cromatografia de afinidade, utilizando criogéis funcionalizados com o ligante N-acetil-D-glicosamina. Os ensaios de adsorção foram realizados em batelada sob agitação, variando-se o tampão (sulfato de sódio e fosfato de sódio) de diluição do extrato de OPN, a concentração molar (20 e 100 mmol L -1 ) e o pH (4,0, 5,5 e 7,0). Os resultados foram submetidos à análise de regressão e verificou-se que a maior quantidade de proteína adsorvida (40,30 mg g -1 ) foi obtida utilizando o tampão sulfato de sódio (100 mmol L -1 , pH 7,0). Os criogéis funcionalizados com N-acetil-D-glicosamina apresentaram potencial de uso na adsorção das proteínas do OPN por cromatografia de afinidade.
