A crise sanitária gerada pela pandemia da Covid-19 trouxe impactos para a sociedade atual. No âmbito hospitalar, a dinâmica na realização dos procedimentos foi modificada, e a percepção desse cenário de mudanças é individual. Nesse contexto, os anestesiologistas têm sido cada vez mais requisitados, estando inseridos em novos protocolos e podendo estar adaptados ou não a eles. Esse estudo tem como questão norteadora a seguinte pergunta: Quais os impactos da pandemia na prática dos médicos anestesiologistas do Hospital e Maternidade Dra Zilda Arns? Objetivou-se analisar os reflexos da crise sanitária atual na atuação desses especialistas, tanto no âmbito profissional quanto pessoal. Trata-se de um estudo transversal e observacional baseado em Questionário Google Forms auto avaliativo aplicado a vinte e cinco anestesiologistas deste hospital. As respostas são objetivas e graduadas em “muito”, “razoavelmente”, “pouco” e “muito pouco”. Foi aberto espaço para descrição sobre impactos da pandemia na relação médico-paciente. Observou-se que, embora 95,2% dos profissionais estejam vacinados contra Covid, a maioria (52,4%) diz ter muito medo de se infectar no hospital. Por outro lado, 45% relatam ter deixado de realizar alguns procedimentos por medo do contágio. 76,2% se testam apenas se houver sintomas, enquanto 14,3% relatam não se testarem. Quanto aos protocolos hospitalares, apenas 33,3% afirmam ter sido muito treinados para lidar com pacientes com Covid, e 52,4% se consideram razoavelmente aptos a atender um paciente infectado. Apesar de apenas 19% dos profissionais se sentirem muito seguros com esses protocolos, 71,4% os consideram muito necessários. Ainda, 57,1% consideram que a pandemia afetou muito a relação médico-paciente. Logo, é sensível que os protocolos são percebidos pelos anestesiologistas entrevistados como pertinentes para diminuir a contaminação intra-hospitalar. Embora a segurança em atender um paciente infectado permeie questões individuais, as respostas sugerem que o treinamento para lidar com esse perfil de paciente é visto como necessário. Além disso, embora vacinados e seguindo normas rígidas, os profissionais têm medo de contaminação, o que interfere na sua escolha por procedimentos e na sua receita. Ainda, os profissionais parecem perceber que há distanciamento na relação médico-paciente atual, o que dificulta sua atuação.
