A rotulagem nutricional contribui de forma essencial para a escolha adequada dos alimentos, representando os produtos industrializados com o propósito de determinar a composição dos alimentos e as informações gerais, sendo de extrema importância para uma alimentação saudável. O presente estudo teve por objetivo analisar a rotulagem dos alimentos embalados e com declaração de Informação Nutricional Complementar (INC) em relação às legislações vigentes. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de caráter transversal, quantitativo, descritivo, exploratório e observacional. O estudo foi desenvolvido no período maio de 2022. Os critérios para análise foram rotulagem de alimentos embalados e com declarações de INC em relação a 13 alegações pré definidas quanto ao conteúdo absoluto de valor energético, açúcares, gorduras trans, ácidos graxos ômega 3, colesterol, sódio, proteínas, fibra alimentar, cálcio, ferro, zinco, vitamina A e vitamina D, de acordo com as Resoluções de Diretoria Colegiada (RDCs) 259/2002, 359/2003, 360/2003, 54/2012, e 26/2015 junto a Lei nº 10.674/03 da Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (ANVISA). A maioria dos rótulos de alimentos analisados e comercializados estavam adequados à legislação brasileira. As inconformidades verificadas foram relacionadas à porção em desacordo com a RDC 359/2003 em quatro (n=4) rotulagens e nas cifras decimais dos valores de percentual de valor diário (% VD) da rotulagem nutricional perante a RDC 360/2003 em duas (n=2) rotulagens. Das 13 alegações de propriedades nutricionais avaliadas frente a RDC 54/2012 foram encontradas irregularidades para INC de alimentos com os atributos “não contém açúcares” (n=3), “fonte de proteínas” (n=2), “muito baixo em sódio” (n=1) e “fonte de fibras” (n =1) rotulagens. Apesar de a maior parte dos rótulos de alimentos analisados estarem adequados à legislação, a incidência de não conformidades indica que ainda há falta de conhecimento e entendimento da legislação brasileira sobre a rotulagem por parte de alguns fabricantes para que essas embalagens prestem melhores informações aos consumidores e cumpram com a legislação vigente.
