Sabe-se que a audição é de vital importância para o desenvolvimento humano é por intermédio dela que se adquirem as funções comunicativas oralizadas. Objetivo: identificar a importância do audiologista na triagem neonatal. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura, sendo os critérios de inclusão: os artigos em português, inglês e espanhol, disponíveis na íntegra no período de 2008 a 2021. A busca foi realizada nas bases de dados LILACS, MEDLINE e GOOGLE ACADÊMICO. Resultados: O audiologista é um dos profissionais que potencializam os cuidados relacionados às deficiências auditivas detectadas na triagem neonatal, colaborando com técnicas e abordagens desenvolvidas para promover melhor qualidade de vida para o ser humano, além de oferecer acolhimento de forma humanizada e acompanhamento de maneira sistemática e frequente. Conclusão: O estudo permitiu maiores conhecimentos e reflexões sobre a importância de ter o audiologista na triagem neonatal, revelando que a participação e o apoio do fonoaudiólogo da rede de atenção à saúde reduzem os riscos de deficiências auditivas na vida das pessoas.
O processo de envelhecimento leva a mudanças a nível anatômico e fisiológico. A mastigação é uma função cujas estruturas são ossos, dentes e músculos. A pesquisa busca mostrar as alterações previstas no processo mastigatório e as estruturas que o compõem, uma vez que tais alterações facilitam o surgimento de disfagia e desnutrição no processo de senescência. Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica de método quantitativo onde foram avaliadas publicações científicas em importantes bases de dados, os dados foram coletados no período de 2014 a 2021. Buscando relacionar o processo de senescência com a mastigação, constatou-se que os idosos apresentam queixas frequentes, com dificuldade na mastigação preferindo alimentos macios e pastosos devido à perda dentária influenciada pela idade. Buscou-se verificar que o avançar da idade está relacionado às alterações mastigatórias evidenciando o papel do Fonoaudiólogo para proporcionar uma qualidade de vida durante o processo de envelhecimento.
