Estudo da expressão das enzimas antioxidantes, atividade da via das pentoses e correlação com a sobrevivência em isolados de Trypanosoma cruzi de pacientes portadores de diferentes formas clínicas da doença de Chagas Tabata Fiorillo Dálio*, Andressa Bruscato, Fernanda Ramos Gadelha. Resumo A doença de Chagas é uma infecção de caráter endêmico transmitida por hemípteros hematófagos, principalmente o Triatoma infestans, e causada por um protozoário, o Trypanosoma cruzi. As defesas antioxidantes do parasita são muito importantes para a sua sobrevivência em diferentes ambientes durante o seu ciclo. Essas defesas contribuem para a patogenicidade da doença e virulência do parasita. Nesse trabalho foram analisadas a expressão das defesas antioxidantes : T. cruzi triparedoxina peroxidase citosólica (TcCPx), T. cruzi triparedoxina peroxidase mitocondrial (TcMPx), Superóxido dismutase mitocondrial (Fe-SODA), Superóxido desmutase citosólica (Fe-SODB). Além disso, avaliou-se a atividade das enzimas da via das pentoses e a resistência desses isolados ao estresse oxidativo gerado pelo H2O2. Dentre os resultados pode-se observar que não há um consenso entre os parâmetros analisados e os isolados de mesma forma clínica da doença.
Este trabalho teve como obetivo avaliar a produção de peróxido de hidrogênio e de superóxido de isolados de Trypanosoma cruzi de pacientes com diferentes formas clínicas da doença de Chagas. Os resultados mostraram que não há diferença estatiscamente siginificativa entre esses fatores nos isolados estudados.
