1. The mechanical properties of rubbers undergo substantial changes in a range of elongation rates, depending on the nature of the rubber. 2. It is shown that a difference in the nature of the strength dependence on rate for noncrystallizable, crystallizable, and filled rubbers is induced by changes of structure of the material during stretching.
