Transition Metal-Mediated Stereocontrolled Cyclization of Urethanes Leading to Versatile Fused Piperidines and Its Application to the Synthesis of (+)-Prosopinine and (+)-Palustrine.-A highly efficient method is established for constructing the optically active bicyclic oxazolidinones (VI) and (VIII) from the same precursor.
