A size reduction microstrip patch antenna is designed and fabricated. The presence of the negative effective permittivity and permeability produced by the complementary split ring resonator array etched on the ground plane leads the antenna size reduction. The numerical and measurement result show that 35 percent patch size reduction can be achieved between the antenna with CSRR as well as comparison the one without it.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
