Resumo: Este trabalho apresenta uma interface intuitiva, de baixo custo, sem fios e customizável, tornando-a mais confortável para cadeirantes. Ela utiliza dados de sensores inerciais, acoplados à cabeça do usuário, e odométricos, da cadeira de rodas, para inferir a intenção de interação com os eletrodomésticos do ambiente, como: televisão, rádio, lâmpadas, etc. Ao detectar a intenção, um sinal é transmitido para um sistema elétrico (caixa inteligente) dotado de relés, que se conecta aos equipamentos. Foram realizados testes com voluntários, havendo sido obtida uma elevada taxa de acerto, sendo possível ligar e desligar todos os equipamentos testados em um tempo bastante pequeno. O objetivo final deste trabalho é prover ao cadeirante um sistema prático que melhore a sua qualidade de vida. Palavras-chave:Sensores inerciais, domótica, cadeirantes, deficiência motora severa.
