Közúti forgalomszervezés Szintbeni közúti csomópontok teljesítôképessége-Jelzôlámpával irányított körforgalmú csomópontok alkalmazhatósága A közúti infrastruktúra fejlesztés tervezése hosszú távú és rendkívül költségigényes feladat.
Various methods are currently under development to enhance the biocompatibility of neural electrodes and to minimize the reactive gliosis around the implant surface. As cells in their native microenvironment interact with 3D nanoscale topographies of the extracellular matrix, physical modification of implant surfaces may provide an alternative solution to the negative tissue response by imitating the structure of the extracellular matrix, and therefore affecting the attachment and behavior of neurons and glial cells. The attachment of primary mouse astrocytes on nanostructured SU8 polymer surfaces fabricated by e-beam lithography was investigated in our study. We found that attachment of primary mouse astrocytes on silicon-SU8 surfaces is strongly influenced by the surface topography.
Investigation of stress tolerance in unicellular algae represents an experimental approach that contributes to elucidation of cellular events related to stress-induced metabolic and developmental reactions in plants. In this context, we investigated the interaction of methylmethionine (vitamin U) with environmental stress factors (high concentrations of heavy metals, herbicides) in photosynthetic energy conversion, net oxygen evolution and dry biomass production of the green microalga Scenedesmus opoliensis. Parameters of the induced chlorophyll fluorescence reveal the benefic influence of vitamin U on light use efficiency of photochemical reactions, as well as on the organization of light-harvesting pigment-protein complexes of the thylakoid membranes in algal cells exposed to micromolar concentrations of cadmium. Oxidative damage caused by the herbicide methylviologen is diminished by methylmethionine. The activities of ascorbate peroxidase and superoxide dismutase are enhanced in the algal cells exposed to the combined effect of methylviologen and vitamin U. In the absence of stress factors, vitamin U has no significant influence on the investigated physiological parameters. Further studies on the protective role of methylmethionine in the presence of stress factors may provide a better insight into the mechanisms of antistress reactions of plants grown in unfavorable environments.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
