The purpose of this study is to make a description and a documentation of the manufacturing process from the beginning to the end. A traditional technique that has been integrated in creators' habit is used in the manufacturing. According to the technique, the manufacturing is done in a workshop by using uncomplicated tools. The descriptive analysis method was apllied in this qualitive research. The main problem was analyzed systematically, factually, accurately, and originally through itemized thinking process of literature reviews, observation, recordings, photographies, an type predetermination, human role as a research instrumen, exploration, interview, and diary note.In the manufacturing, the black clay mixed with husk and red clay is grinded. The main materials are brass or copper (Cu), tin (Sn), and iron (Fe). The manufacturing process is begun by making a talempong lilin (waxed talempong) as a model, bandaging the talempong lilin with the mixed-clay to make a talempong tanah moulder, and foundrying the alloy. Then, the mauder is burned to extract the wax and in sequence the alloy is poured in. Finally, the moulder is destroyed and talempong is produced. After cleansing, flattening, filing, grinding, and polishing, talempong is ready to purchase.The are three kinds of talempong in size: (1) big; (2) medium; and (3) small. Talempong is fitted in a traditional way by stroking the outside part to fit up the tone or stroking the inside part to fit down the tone.
The purpose of this study is to describe and find out the implementation of vocal Technique learning at class VII-3 in SMP Negeri 12 Sijunjung. This type of study was a qualitative research with using descriptive methods. The object of this study was the students at class VII-3 in SMP N 12 Sijunjung who participated in vocal technique learning. The main instrument in this study was the researcher. The additional instruments were stationery and camera. Techniques of Data collection were carried out by taking literature study, observation, interviews, documentation study. The type of data used primary and secondary data. The steps in analyzing data were done by collecting, reducting, presentating and drawing data conclusions. The result shows that the vocal technique learning thatis carried out by the teacher atclass VII-3 does not run well and meet the target of the learning objectives. The teacher does not understand the material of vocal technique well so that the students do not understand the vocal technique. Therefore, there are still some students who have not been able to sing properly due to lack of practice, lack of understanding of the material and practice of vocal technique learning so that they get a low scores. The results of the practice of various vocal techniques namely the highest value only reaches 87 and the lowest value is 58 with an average value is 74.4%.Keywords: Implementation, Learning, Vocal Technique
This research aims to describe the implementation of theater talent manifestation activities through pantomime extracurricular at SD Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP, Universitas Negeri Padang, West Sumatra.This is a qualitative research using descriptive analysis method. The main instrument used was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing instruments and cellphone cameras. The data were collected through observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation. The data were analyzed by separating primary and secondary data. Then, the contents were grouped and arranged systematically, and finally conclusions were made.The results show that the pantomime extracurricular activities conducted are routinely carried out with the aim of doing performance activities such as in monthly agenda, farewell party, and pantomime competitions. The process of implementing pantomime extracurricular activities begins with various preparation for training sites, materials, and program implementation. Pantomime extracurricular material begins by grouping students into 3 groups: high class group, low class group, and non-active group. Then, it is continued by introducing pantomime in general as well as some examples performed by the trainer. The methods used by the trainer are lecture, question and answer, peer tutoring, and demonstration.Keywords: Talent Development, Pantomime, extracurricular
This study aims to find out the ability of students at class VIII.1 in Padang city in playing Talempong Pacik with the song Cak Din Din. This research belongs to a descriptive qualitative research. The main instrument on this study was the researcher itself and was supported by supporting instruments such as writing tools and cameras. The data were collected through interview, literature study, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted by classifying the data, describing the data, and making conclusions. The results show that the students’ ability in playing Talempong Pacik with the song Cak Din Din is quite good after the learning process was evaluated. The assessment was obtained from the value of daily test results with assessment indicators including tempo and rhythmic accuracy as well as the students’ sense of musicality. The learning process was carried out in four meetings. In the fourth meeting, the learning evaluation was conducted. The learning activities were divided into three stages: preparation, process or training, and evaluation. The introduction of the song Cak Din Din was done by showing the song’s score and giving demonstrations by the teachers.Keywords: Talempong, Learning, cak din din
This study aimed to describe the learning facilities and infrastructure in the field of arts and culture, describe the students’ achievements of participants studying art and culture, and analyze the influence of learning facilities and infrastructure of art and culture on student learning outcomes at 8th Grade Level of SMP Negeri 4 Kota Pariaman. This type of research was qualitative research using descriptive methods. The object of this study was students of 8th Grade Level of SMP Negeri 4 Kota Pariaman who took part in learning vocal techniques. Techniques of data collection were carried out employing literature study, observation, interviews and documentation studies. Techniques of data analysis were through the process of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding.The results of the study found that the availability of facilities and infrastructure for learning arts and culture in SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman is still incomplete so that in the learning process, especially when practicing with cultural arts equipment, not all students can have practice experience. The allocation of funds from schools for the completeness of cultural arts learning facilities and infrastructure is still low so that the school approves not all planning for the provision of cultural arts learning infrastructure facilities. Student learning outcomes in arts and culture subjects have not reached the expected target because there are still many students who score below the KKM. To overcome the constraints in the limited availability of facilities and infrastructure for learning arts and culture, teachers have sought to improve the active role of students in adding insight by accessing internet media and also adding additional learning hours to anticipate the limitations of practice time due to inadequate cultural arts equipment available.
