The latest technological advancements have forced logistics and supply chain digitization in general. Organizations that embrace and prepare for change can survive and maintain a competitive position in the new global business environment. In contrast, the industrial businesses that do not implement the new rules will not survive long and will eventually be obsolete. Therefore, the concept of digitization and industrial revolution 4.0 in supply chain management was intended to be reviewed to determine its trending dimensions. This paper conducted a systematic review of 60 articles on the research topic by considering the publication during the period 2017 to 2021. The paper investigated the evolutionary changes in the supply chain's operational functions in the digital and industrial revolution 4.0 context. The main objective of reviewing articles was to identify the new trend on the search topic. Some trends identified in the current research include the use of blockchain in the supply chain and the nine elements of industry 4.0, the internet of things. The paper is equally significant for researchers and practitioners as it explains industry 4.0 and supply chain digitization trends. Future research can evaluate the mathematical, decision-making, and simulation techniques to support the research domain by increasing its applicability. This research allows us to consider the validation of the digital supply chain models and their components presented preliminary by experts that provide a headway toward emerging and new constructs in this domain.
PurposeThis paper aims to find the impact of blockchain supply chain on supply chain performance with a mediating role of supplier trust, traceability and transparency.Design/methodology/approachData was collected using the purposive sampling technique on a five-point Likert scale from 150 respondents. For data analysis, IBM SPSS and Smart PLS 3.3.7 were used to test the hypotheses by evaluating the structural equation modeling.FindingsThe blockchain supply chain found a significant effect on supply chain performance. Moreover, there is a substantial effect of the blockchain supply chain on supply chain performance via mediators, including supplier trust, supply chain traceability and supply chain transparency. Further, the mediation type of all mediators was full mediation in the relationships between blockchain supply chain and supply chain performance.Research limitations/implicationsThe research findings are helpful for industrialists, supply chain practitioners and policymakers. The practitioners can adopt blockchain technology to enhance inter-organizational collaboration, develop trust, data visibility and traceability, and critical decisions, ultimately bringing sustainable growth for the firm.Originality/valueThe outcomes of this research enrich the literature and share the impact of one of the most trending technologies in the supply chain perspective. Future research can empirically test the relationship between blockchain and supply chain sustainability.
This research is linked to the notion of employee retaining that is severely dependent on the job learning and training. Work learning and training is of the utmost significant factors in keeping the employees retained in the firms or organizations. Training and development is extremely vivacious for confirming effectiveness of the staffs. Though the Pharma firms have overextended and silently considered them as asset i.e. human capital while many are swayed that huge investments in training and development for employee's payoffs. Present study intentions to find out the impact of training beside development program and its advantages to retention of employees. The study includes the theme on which the research is carried out, the study will identify the facts which will result this research about the Power of training and development on employee retention at Pharmevo. The research is based on the local pharmaceutical company. The purpose of this research was based on the interest and urges to analyze that how the pharmaceutical companies retain their employees through training. When organizations make their relation with their employees than the commitment of employees with the organization become stronger. To analyze the relationship and significance among dependent and independent variables, the statistical tool; multiple regression was used for analyzing and deriving the hypotheses. The population of Pharmevo was 350 and the sample size was 282 through Rao soft on which the research is conducted. The applied instrument for the research was Questionnaire; the numbers of items including demographics were 25, however the type of research is quantitative in nature. The used statistical tool was Multiple Regression (SPSS). And the results proved that training do impact on the employee retentions.
