The main purpose of this study was to compare and examine the effectiveness of problem-posing and think-pair-share cooperatives' learning models on mathematical problem-solving skills and mathematical communication skills. This study was experimental research with a quasi-experimental design. The samples of the study were 41 students for classroom experiments and 40 students for classroom control. The instruments employed in this study were pre-test and post-test. The instruments were made in essay forms which design to measure students’ mathematical problem-solving skills. The result of the study showed that problem-posing and think-pair-share are very effective to improve students’ mathematical achievements. However, between the problem-posing and think-pair-share, the think-pair-share is more effective than problem-posing, view from the standards of mathematical problem-solving skills and mathematical communication skills of Junior High School students.
This research aims to identify the self construction and communicating acts amongst the homeless while they are doing their daily activities as a vagrant in downtown Jakarta. The method being used for this research is a qualitative method with phenomenologist paradigm which aims to understand human behaviors from an experimental perspective. Result shows that vagrants, especially those who has the same profession, tend to share the area of work in order to avoid conflicts among them. Description from the subject in establishing communication with other vagrants are done by sharing area of expertise from himself and other vagrants. Results also showed that almost all the subjects tend to close their darker side from others who dont know that they are vagrants by impression management. These people came into existence not only because of a poor culture which shows nomadic type of living habit, but its also because of the structure and vast majority which sees them with a negative stigma for every type of occupation they choose including a forced action because they were left without any choices other being a vagrant.
Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan pada Masyarakat berupa pelatihan ketrampilan jurnalistik dan penulisan naskah kehumasan bagi siswa siswi SMA Muhammadiyah 3, berlokasi di Jalan Limau, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan. Alasan memilih sekolah ini adalah sebagai bentuk pengabdian pada kader Muhammadiyah, terutama generasi muda, sehingga mampu menjadi manusia unggul yang mampu bersaing baik lingkup regional, nasional, maupunn internasional. Di samping itu, siswa-siswi SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jakarta Selatan, yang berada di bawah payung besar lembaga Dakwah Muhammadiyah patut memperoleh ketrampilan jurnalistik dan penulisan naskah kehumasan secara benar dan efektif, sehingga pandai berargumentasi dan mampu mengaplikasikan tulisan naskah-naskah publikasi formal yang informatif dan menarik. Pelatihan yang bekerja sama dengan Majelis Pustaka dan Informasi (MPI) Pimpinan Wilayah Muhammadiyah DKI Jakarta ini, menekankan pada makna belajar (learning). Belajar adalah proses perubahan perilaku atau pribadi seseorang berdasarkan praktek atau pengalaman tertentu. Artinya setelah memiliki pengalaman mengikuti pelatihan jurnalistik dan penulisan naskah kehumasan diharapkan para peserta mendapat tambahan pengetahuan dan pengalaman yang dapat menunjang kegiatan dan kemampuannya dalam berorganisasi di sebuah lembaga. Dengan adanya pelatihan jurnalistik akan sangat membantu pelajar dalam mengasah kreatifitas dan bakat seseorang, khususnya dalam bidang tulis menulis. Dengan jurnalistik juga mampu membangun daya kritis nalar pelajar dalam membaca realitas kehidupan. Bidang Public Relations atau biasa disingkat dengan PR atau dapat juga dikatakan Hubungan Masyarakat atau Humas sebagai sebuah profesi semakin kuat berkembang. Individu bergantung kepada hubungan baik dengan kelompok-kelompok lainnya dan individu-individu yang memiliki berbagai pendapat, keputusan dan tindakan yang mempengaruhi vitalitas/daya dan kelangsungan hidup mereka. Upaya yang senantiasa diperjuangkan oleh seorang praktisi Public Relations adalah bagaimana dapat menginformasikan berbagai momen penting, khususnya yang berhubungan dengan terobosan dan perkembangan kekinian.
The changes paradigm from “teaching” to “learning doesn’t always related with something that happen in the class such as interaction teacher and students, but also involves the changes of paradigm and it must be done by the institution as a system in an organization and it must be done by all persons. The changes mindset from teaching to learning, which gives some lesson to the planning must be done by the lecture or teacher, more over the development of information and communication technology in this era globalization is already developed. So it needs to be done the changes of learning system by using models or methods which can push the students to be an active learner. The using of ICT maybe can be the solution of this problem. That’s why lecture or teacher must follow the development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in learning process and also can apply in the environment which has been planed.
