Gold is one of the oldest precious metals known to man and for years it has been valued as a global currency, an investment, a commodity and an object of beauty and India is not an exception to this. India's love affair with gold is timeless spanning over centuries and millennia. With globalisation various investment avenues were made available to investors. However there is difference in the perceptions of the investors. So this paper makes an attempt to understand the factors that influence the buying behavior of Indian retail investors with respect to gold buying. The objectives of the paper are to identify the favorable and unfavorable perception of the consumers towards their belief in Gold buying behavior, towards their Motives behind the Physical gold buying behavior, towards the Risk behind gold buying (both physical gold as well as Paper form -Mutual fund / ETF) behavior and towards gold buying behavior due to various attributes of gold. The results of the study indicate that the ease at the time of purchase and high liquidity has resulted into Gold being highly preferred Investment Avenue as against the others.
System on chip (SoC) is generally referred to as the integration of software and silicon hardware which are designed to perform certain functions for various applications like smart phones, digital television etc. Network-On-Chip (NoC) can be seen as the novel communication mechanism that can be adopted for utilization with SoC. Router plays a very important role for NoC.The foremost dispute in these NoC routers is related to the quality of service (QoS) functionalities like better bandwidth, inadequate transaction times, rate of losses, and low congestion. Throughput, Latency or Delay, Errors, Bandwidth, Dropped Packets, Jitter or variation in delay, Packet loss, Out-of-order packet delivery are certain parameters that are to be considered while designing the NoC for better QoS. To improve Quality of Service (QoS) parameters such as throughput and latency, Virtual Output Queuing (VOQ) signaling technique based router architecture is proposed. The number of pipeline stages of a packet transfer is reduced to less number of stages with switch allocation and traversal based on VOQ application in buffering. The study is undertaken to improve the Quality of Service in NoC architecture by proposing a novel modeling technique.
This paper describes the performance of Adaptive Noise Cancellation system. Basic concept of adaptive noise canceller is to process signals from two input sources and to reduce the level of undesired noise with adaptive filtering techniques. Adaptive filtering techniques play vital role in wide range of applications. An implementation of adaptive noise cancellation system is used to remove undesired noise from a received signal for various audio related applications that has been developed and implemented by MATLAB. The dual channel adaptive noise cancellation system uses an adaptive filter with least mean square algorithm to cancel noise component from primary signal picked up by primary sensor. Various parameters such as convergence behavior, tracking ability of the algorithm, signal to noise ratio, mean square error etc. of ANC system are studied, analyzed for various applications of adaptive noise cancellation and the same are discussed in this paper.
In India, the uniqueness of gold has been widely discussed since ages. The Indian Government has led several initiatives to curb gold consumption in order to restrict its impact on trade deficit and forex reserves. However, their attempts have been quite futile. In light of the above and combined with the high demand for gold in the form of jewelry, this research paper was crafted. This paper attempts to study the factors of gold buying of retail consumers and also analyze the impact of reference groups on gold buying. The central focus of the study being retail consumers, data were collected from a sample of 600 retail consumers. Several factors were identified through factor analysis. The validity and reliability of factor analysis was confirmed by KMO (0.903) and Bartlet tests (Sig. 0.000). ANOVA was performed to ascertain the impact of reference groups/employment function on the identified factors. The ANOVA results indicated that the proposed hypothesis was observed to be statistically significant for some of the identified factors. Results of Tukey Post Hoc Test highlighted pairing of other function (retired) of employment with either Marketing or IT giving statistically significant different means. For several years, gold has been an area of secondary research both in the foreign and Indian context. However in the light of gold buying's (Jewelry) negative impact on India's trade deficit and various initiatives of the government, this research has relevance in the Indian context. More so since in the existing era, India is a growing economy and globalization and technology has made it easy and possible to buy or invest in the paper form of gold instead of the physical form.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
