Zusammenfassung. In der aktuellen Managementliteratur wird z.T. der Eindruck vermittelt, die Sozialkompetenz sei nicht als Ergänzung zu fachlichem Können zu verstehen, sondern könne dieses ersetzen. Aber: Wie steht es tatsächlich um die Bedeutung der Sozialkompetenz und welche Rolle spielen neben sozialen Kompetenzen fachliche, methodische und personale Kompetenzaspekte bei der Bewältigung von Optimierungsaufgaben? Zur Kompetenzmessung werden Verhaltensdaten von 59 Gruppen aus 19 Unternehmen beim Bewältigen von aktuellen und unternehmensrelevanten Optimierungsaufgaben genutzt, die mit dem Kasseler-Kompetenz-Raster (KKR) ausgewertet werden. Die Ergebnisse belegen, dass die Bedeutung der Sozialkompetenz für das Bewältigen von Optimierungsaufgaben in Gruppen überschätzt wird. Obwohl die Mitarbeiter geraume Zeit mit dem Austausch sozial wertender Äußerungen verbringen, befähigen soziale Kompetenzen im Kontext von Gruppendiskussionen weder zum Generieren von (guten) Lösungen noch tragen sie zur Zufriedenheit der Diskussionsteilnehmer bei. Für die Entwicklung innovativer, geeigneter Lösungen müssen - über die unabdingbare Fachkompetenz hinaus - ein gewisses Maß an Veränderungsinteresse und der Glaube an Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten vorausgesetzt werden (Selbstkompetenz). Das Verlieren in Details und Beispielen (negative Methodenkompetenz) sowie das Jammern (negative Selbstkompetenz) müssen verhindert werden.
Zusammenfassung. Der Fragebogen zum Innovationsklima (INNO) wurde entwickelt, um das Klima für Innovationen in Organisationen messbar zu machen. Der Fragebogen besteht aus insgesamt 21 Items, die in weniger als 10 Minuten beantwortet werden können. Mit Hilfe von Faktorenanalysen (N = 372 Mitarbeiter) wurde die Struktur des INNO auf vier Faktoren festgelegt: (1) Aktivierende Führung, (2) Kontinuierliche Reflexion, (3) Konsequente Implementation und (4) Professionelle Dokumentation. Im Hinblick auf Kriteriumsvariablen der (1) Produkt- und (2) Prozessinnovationen, (3) Unternehmensentwicklung, (4) der Anzahl der Verbesserungsvorschläge, (5) der Bewertung von Optimierungssitzungen durch die Teilnehmer, (6) der Güte der in der Gruppendiskussion erarbeiteten Lösungen und (7) des wahrgenommenen Vorgesetztenverhaltens besitzt der INNO eine befriedigende Kriteriumsvalidität. Im Sinne der diskriminanten Validität präsentieren sich die INNO-Faktoren unkorreliert mit (berufsbezogenen) Persönlichkeitsmerkmalen. Zusammenfassend ermöglicht der INNO, der hinsichtlich zentraler Gütekriterien überprüft wurde, die standardisierte und ökonomische Erfassung des Innovationsklimas.
