In this article, the respondent's opinion is discussed about the effectiveness of the model of integrating local cultural values of the Belitung Geopark in learning science in elementary schools. The research design refers to research and development design (R&D) includes four stages of activity. However, this study discusses the results of a preliminary study on the content of the local cultural values of the Belitung Geopark in science learning in elementary schools. The population of this research is the teachers of elementary schools Dendang District and Simpang Pesak District, East Belitung Regency. The sample was selected by purposive sampling, namely 34 elementary school teachers and as many as 152 elementary school students in grade IV, grade V, and grade VI. The instruments used in the data collection process included questionnaires, interview guidelines, observation sheets, and student learning outcomes tests. The teacher's ability to plan to learn is measured using the teacher ability assessment tool (TAAT) I format. Meanwhile, the teacher's ability to teach is measured using the (TAAT) II format. From the results of this study, it concluded that (1) Implementation of the Geopark local wisdom curriculum is effective in improving student geopark learning outcomes in science learning in elementary schools; (2) The characteristics of science learning that are integrated with Geopark content can be implemented by the teacher; (3) The model of integrating local cultural values of the Belitung Geopark in learning science in elementary schools can realize the concept of science is fun in elementary school.
This research is the second year of a three-year research plan and the development of a new generation of Universitas Terbuka (UT) learning material models for natural science learning courses in elementary schools for higher education of bachelor elementary school teacher education program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. The research design in this research is a combination of the major steps in the R&D cycle with the steps of the system approach to the model of educational R&D. In this research, a series of development and research activities were carried out and is the 8th step of the 15 planned series of activities. The steps in developing the initial format for the New Generation Learning Materials of UT include a series of workshops and independent work. The final product of this research is in the form of nine draft modules consisting of three components, namely: (1) fully printed; (2) blended; and (3) fully online.
Universitas Terbuka (UT) aims at achieving a world class standard. As one of the criteria of a world class university is the world ranking, it is planned that the university should achieve a high position within the ranking. At present, the ranking systems are the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and Times Higher Education Supplement (THES). Positions of open universities in world university ranking are in the lower tier, both according to the THES and SJTU. However, ranking have a positive impact toward universities. Hence, it is possible that through the effort of achieving a high ranking, UT will have the benefit of improving its quality of services toward its stakeholders. If it is possible that ranking system criteria also fits the achievement of quality, there should be an advantage of gaining a high position in world ranking for UT. Therefore the question is how to improve the position of an open university within the international university ranking. Although the main priority of UT mission is to provide access of quality education to those who for some reason cannot attend conventional education, UT has opportunities for improving its rank among world university ranking. The advantage of the ranking is that it can support the effort to become a world class university. UT should improve international cooperation, both in teaching and research, while the research activities should be improved, both in its quality and its publications in accredited international journals. Lastly, the effort for achieving a high position in world ranking should not ignore the main mission of UT to provide access to education.
This research focuses to produce a learning media which is a guidebook of practical learning and complete practical learning media as well as making students easy in doing practical assignments during attending the online tutorial. This research is a survey study by quantitative approach. The quality of the guidebook and practical learning are viewed through the content validity by the expert and through descriptive analysis taken from the questionnaire given to the college students. The number of experts validating the data in this research is 3 (three) experts. Meanwhile, the number of college students assessing the quality of guidebooks and practical learning media in this research is 23 (twenty-three) college students. The data collection technique in this research used two instruments as product assessment instruments by the expert and college students. The technique of data analysis used two ways include 1) content validity and Aiken Formula verification, and 2) using statistics description. The result of the research shows that; 1) the assessment instrument of guidebook quality and practical learning media have occupied valid criteria with the index Aiken score average, which is 0.76, the result includes in the medium category; 2) the quality of guidebook and practical learning media of television broadcasting management show a good result. This case is based on the result of the descriptive analysis that has been done.
The Open University Education Technology study program is in desperate need of a type of media that is able to provide maximum learning services to students. Therefore, a learning material product is needed to support these needs. Development research is needed for VR and AR-based learning materials to be realized. This research is a development research. The development model used refers to the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation). The choice of ADDIE model in this development research is based on several reasons, namely, this model is a procedural model, namely a model that is descriptive, showing clear and careful steps to produce the product. Study of competencies produce a competency map of the results of the study based on the principles of development of the field of study and the demands of educational technology expertise, especially Television Broadcasting Management. The results of the study of module materials found the existence of competency sequences that are not appropriate judging from the process or stages of Management. The results of this study showed that it is necessary to rearrange the competencies of Courses TPEN 4312 and the Television Broadcasting Management Module should be revised. Reconstructing the Practice Handbook as a handle for students to perform practical tasks and Develop more suitable practical tools based on the results of practical tasks.

Article visualizations:
