Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Curve Number cukup dapat mepresentaskan hubungancurah hujan dengan aliran permukaan (run off). kata kunci : Run off observasi, run off model, curve number AbstractRun off (surface flow) is one of the most important hydrological variable in supporting the activities of water resources development. A reliable prediction method to calculate the amount and rate of runoff from the land surface caused by the rain that falls in a watershed that is not equipped with measuring devices (un gauge watershed) is a verydifficult job and requires a lot of time. The research was conducted in the watershed Ciliwung Hulu, which is an important area in relation to the incidence of flooding in Jakarta. Curve Number (CN) method can be used to predict the amount of runoff from a watershed. This model required input of rainfall; land cover maps; soil type maps, and topography. The maps are processed using Arc View software, so we get the value of CN. In this study, we used of rainfall and discharge data 2007-2009. Based on the analysis of calculation, known that amount of surface flow approaching 50% of rainfall depth. This condition indicates that the Ciliwung Hulu watershed conditions were not ableand proper to absorb of rainfall. The correlation between the results of run-off prediction models using CN with run-off observation was quite good. This indicated that the Curve Number method could be able to represent the relationship of rainfall with surface flow (run off) and also to predict runoff key words: Run off observation, run-off model, curve number
AbstractImplementation of the TMC operations for the redistribution of rainfall in Jakarta and surrounding areas is done using two methods, namely the jumping process mechanism and the competition mechanism. The jumping process mechanism performed by seeding the clouds using NaCl using aircraft. The goal is to accelerate the process of rain on Cumulus clouds in upwind areas, which is observed (using radar) moving in the direction to Jakarta area. Meanwhile, the competition mechanism is done by burning the material seeding in form of flares using Ground-Based Generator installed in several locations in Jakarta, ranging from upstream (Puncak area, Bogor) to downstream (around the Bay of Jakarta). This method aims to disrupt the cloud physics mechanism for the existence of convective clouds that grow in the area of Jakarta and potential rain.In general, the implementation of the TMC which lasts for 33 days from January 26 until February 27, 2013 managed to reduce the intensity of rainfall and the risk of flooding in areas of Jakarta and its surroundings. During the implementation of...
AbstractMicro Rain Radar (MRR) is an instrument to observe precipitation, especially rainfall, that operate vertically. Besides, a weather radar, WR-2100, is an instrument making profile in an area scope. By doing further processing, data of weather radar WR-2100 can be used to show vertical profile of a certain parameter in a certain location. This study compared vertical profile of rain rate at Dramaga, Bogor, based on data of MRR operated in same location with that based on data of weather radar WR-2100 operated in different location, which is Serpong, Tangerang Selatan. Results of the study showed that both instruments detected rain rate values on same times, while the values are higher at higher altitudes for weather radar WR-2100 than for MRR due to higher and more significant attenuation happened in MRR operation at higher altitude in moderate rainfall events.
