Nowadays, cloud computing is commonly used as a service infrastructure. As the computing paradigm has been shifted to cloud computing, most people think that a device could get less powerful than before because the computing resources could be elastically accessible from the device anytime/anywhere. However, most smart devices including smart TV and mobile phones are still getting more powerful, even than workstations 10 years ago. For that reason, we started to think that building the user's personalized customized computing environment with his/her powerful devices is successfully achievable and we found out that it can create the opportunity for device vendors to create new service and provide new experience to users. In this paper, we introduce the concept of the Device Centric Cloud (DC2) -using devices' resource as a part of cloud computing for services -and how to efficiently build the User Data Processing platform based on DC2(UDP-DC2). Additionally, we show how UDP-DC2 can be easily integrated with the personalized service. As a result, with UDP-DC2, the service provider can efficiently utilize the device resource and provide the personalized service without any privacy-sensitive data.
