This study was attempted to provide basic data on mental health by identifying factors affecting the resilience of firefighting officers. The data collection was conducted from May 1 st , 2018 to May 31 st , 2018, with the consent of the target person and the questionnaire was conducted. The number of participants used in the final analysis was 147. The questionnaire consisted of demographic characteristics, stress coping, and resilience. The collected data were analysed using SPSS 21.0 statistical program using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and Multiplier regression. The results of this study showed that the difference in resilience according to general characteristics was the result of subjective health condition, stress relief method, and subjective health condition in stress coping. Resilience showed a static correlation with stress coping, and stress coping showed a positive correlation between active coping and passive coping. In addition, active coping showed a positive correlation with passive coping. Based on the above results, regression analysis showed that factors affecting resilience were stress coping and subjective health status, and the factors used in the analysis explained 49.2% of resilience.
The purpose of this study was to provide basic data on the health by examining the effects of psychological well-being and depression on menopausal symptoms and the necessity of exercise in middle-aged women. This study is a cross-sectional study using a structured questionnaire. The respondent’s consent was obtained prior to data collection, and the investigation period runs from November 1, 2021 to November 30, 2021. The final analysis included 150 as respondents to the study. The tool developed by Yang was used for psychological well-being, the Korean integrated CES-D tool was used for depression, and the Menopause Symptom Index was used for menopausal symptoms. The differences and levels of psychological well-being, depression, and menopausal symptoms according to demographic and sociological characteristics were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA. The correlation between psychological well-being, depression, and menopausal symptoms was analyzed by Pearson’s correlation, and the effect on menopausal symptoms was analyzed by multiple regression. Because of this study, significant results were found in marital status, religion, economic level, regular exercise, hobbies, personality, and subjective health in the difference in psychological well-being according to general characteristics. In depression, significant results were found in marital status, education level, monthly income, living status, regular exercise, hobbies, stress, personality, and subjective health status. Moreover, age, frequent exercise, hobby, and subjective health all had a significant impact on menopausal symptoms. According to the findings of the regression analysis, the factors influencing menopausal symptoms were, in that order, depression and psychological well-being. Among the factors that showed significant results for menopausal symptoms, exercise is recommended as a factor that can alleviate menopausal symptoms due to individual lifestyle changes, so it is expected to contribute to reducing menopausal symptoms and improving quality of life.

Data collection conducted from October 1, 2019 to January 31, 2020 with the consent of the subjects, and 170 participants used for the final analysis. The questionnaire was composed of demographic characteristics, family support, and resilience. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression using the SPSS 21.0 statistical program. As result of this study, there were statistically significant differences in family support according to general characteristics in terms of education level, religion, living standard, housing type, subjective health status, and health concern. Resilience showed statistically significant differences in education level, religion, occupation, monthly income, living standard, subjective health status, and health interest. Family support had a positive correlation with resilience, and resilience had a positive correlation with subjective health status. In the results of regression analysis, monthly income, standard of living, and family support were the predictors of resilience as factors affecting resilience, and the total explanatory power of these variables was 36.5%. This study expected to be able to be used as a basis for improving the mental health of the elderly.
This presentation describes a supportive mindfulness practice for caregivers of older adults based on the principles of Won Buddhism (an integrative, a modernized Buddhism). As the aging population grows, there is a significant increase in recognition of the negative impact of caregiver stress on older adults’ quality of life. The ability for caregivers to deal compassionately with stress is essential, as caring for older adults can awaken feelings about one’s own vulnerability and mortality. The ‘Mindful Gratitude Practice’ offers a way to cope with stress, cultivate self-care, and improve the care of others. Relevant research will be summarized, which shows mindfulness and gratitude practice respectively benefit positive influence in both physical and emotional well-being. Mindful Gratitude Practice as a spiritual approach that fosters caregivers' emotional stability, reduces their stress and improves the relationship between older adults and their caregivers. In this presentation, three processes of Mindful Gratitude Practice will be described: 1. Understanding a mindfulness practice by establishing intention, attention, and attitude, 2. Learning the principles of a gratitude practice and implementation, and 3. Incorporating mindfulness into a gratitude practice. Research results have demonstrated that through this learning process, caregivers have acquired the concept of interconnectedness, experience grateful moments, and a deep feeling of appreciation in their caregiving relationships. The presenter will guide participants in a short experience of Mindfulness Gratitude Practice. Further readings and resources will be provided for those who are interested.
