The present study had two main objectives; first, to discover the relationships between job satisfaction and life satisfaction in Pakistani army soldiers, second, to find out the age, salary, marital status, and education differences on job satisfaction and life satisfaction in Pakistani army soldiers. In the present study two questionnaires; Job Satisfaction Scale JSS (Macdonald & Maclntyre, 1997) and Satisfaction With Life Scale ; were administered to a sample (N=400) along with a demographic sheet. The results of the study revealed a significant positive correlation between job satisfaction and life satisfaction of Pakistani army soldiers. The findings of the study also showed a significant age, education, salary, and marital status differences in job satisfaction and life satisfaction. Age, marital status, and salary variables had positive correlation with job satisfaction and life satisfaction but education had a negative association with job satisfaction and life satisfaction.
Parental disregard is a powerful interpreter of adolescents’ behavioral problems. In Pakistan, all students utilize social media platforms for educational, entertainment, and informational purposes, which in turn has detrimental impact on adolescents’ physical as well as psychological health. Hence it is important to study the consequences of social media addiction, which is becoming a global health issue. However, research findings have looked at and found erratic correlations with the relationship believed to exist between parental neglect and teenage conduct disorder. Aim of current study is to shed more light on this idea by determining if adolescent social media addictive use moderates the link between parental neglect and behavioral issues. Multidimensional Parent Neglect Scale (MBNS; Straus et al., 1999), Social Media Addiction Scale (SMAS; Karadag et al., 2015) and Conduct Problems Scale (CPS; Goodman et al., 2010) were used to collect data from 370 adolescent students by using purposive sampling technique. Findings revealed that social media addiction moderated the relation between parental neglect and conduct disorder among social media addict adolescents. Significant gender differences were also revealed on social media addiction and conduct problems. These findings offer information for systematically analyzing the role of social media addiction and the link between behavior issues and parental neglect. The findings of this study suggest that parenting techniques, characteristics of social media addiction, and their negative consequences on adolescents' behavior should be given more attention. Keywords: Intolerance of uncertainty; mindfulness; affective lability.
Objectives: To find out the impact of illness perception and coping strategies on quality of life among migraineurs. Study Design: Correlational study. Place and Duration of Study: The sample was selected from different hospitals of Hazara Division, from Mar to Jul 2018. Methodology: The sample of 300 migraineurs with age range 18-55 years was selected from hospitals of Hazara Division through purposive sampling technique. Brief illness perception questionnaire, The World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale (WHOQOL-BREF) and brief cope scale were used for data collection. Results: Illness perception significantly predicted (p=0.002) quality of life in positive direction. The results also explored that positive coping (p≤0.001) and problem focused coping strategies (p=0.002) predict quality of life significantly positively; whereas active avoidance coping strategies (p≤0.001) significantly negative predict quality of life; while religious denial coping was non-significant predictor of quality of life. Conclusion: Illness perception has significant negative relationship with quality of life, problem-focus coping (PFC), and positive coping (PC). Illness perception has significant positive relationship with religious denial coping (RDC) and active avoidance coping (AAC).
The present study explored the relationship between music reference dimensions and personality trait. This study comprised of three stages. In Stage-I, adaptation of Short Test of Music Preference Scale (STOMP; Rentfrow & Gosling, 2003) was done. In Stage-II the psychometric properties of adapted STOMP Scale and NEO-PI-R (Costa & McCrea, 1992) were determined on a sample of 60 students (20-25 years). Stage-III involved measuring the relationship between music preference dimensions and personality traits on sample of 250 students age range of 20-25 years. Results revealed that extraversion, openness to experience, and agreeableness showed positive association with intense and rebellious music, upbeat and conventional music, and reflective and complex music. Whereas extraversion and openness to experience was negatively associated with energetic and rhythmic music. Additionally, neuroticism was negatively related with reflective and complex music, and agreeableness has negative relation with intense and rebellious music. Conscientiousness has negative relationship with reflective and complex, intense and rebellious, and upbeat and conventional; while exhibited positive relationship with energetic and rhythmic music. Future implications of the study were also discussed.

Objective: To investigate the mediating effect of body dysmorphic disorder on narcissism and selfitis disorder among young adults. Methods: The sample size for the present study was 400 young adults. Convenient sampling technique was used for screening of young adults on Body Image Concern Inventory and further data were collected on Selfitis Behavior Scale and Narcissistic Personality Inventory from screened sample. Inclusion criteria included all the young adults aged between 20 to 35 and have body dysmorphic disorder. Age of persons had significant negative correlation with narcissism, selfitis disorder and features of body dysmorphic disorder. Outcomes revealed that both selfitis disorder and narcissism are greater in males, while features of body dysmorphic disorder are greater in females as compared to males.
