Electrode materials are the most important factors to verify the properties of the electrochemical supercapacitor. In this paper, the storage principles and characteristics of electrode materials, including carbon-based materials, transition metal oxides and conducting polymers for supercapacitors are depicted in detail. Other factors such as electrode separator and electrolyte are briefly investigated. Recently, several works are conducted on application of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and MWCNTs-based electrode materials for supercapacitors. MWCNTs serve in experimental supercapacitor electrode materials result in specific capacitance (SC) value as high as 135 Fg-1. Addition of pseudocapacitive materials such as transition metal oxides and conducting polymers in the MWCNTs results in electrochemical performance improvement (higher capacitance and conductivity). The nanocomposites of MWCNTs and pseudocapacitive materials are the most promising electrode materials for supercapacitors because of their good electrical conductivity, low cost and high mass density.

Industrially, a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) is characterized based on their Melt Flow Index (MFI). In numerous publication, LDPE’s MFI is correlated to its average molecular weight (Mw). An overview of modeling studies on LDPE reactors available in the open literature indicates significant discrepancies among researchers for the correlation of MFI-Mw, therefore a research to produce reliable correlation need to be carried out. This research gathers various experimental and industrial data of different LDPE product grades. Empirical correlations between MFI and Mw are developed and the analysis on the MFI and Mw relation is addressed. The percentage of error between the model prediction and industrial data varies from 0.1% to 2.4% which can be considered minimum. The nonlinear model obtained indicates the competency of the developed equation to describe the variation of industrial data, thus allowing greater confidence in LDPE’s MFI prediction.

In the present research, the solubility of fish oil in supercritical carbon dioxide was studied at temperatures of (40, 50, 60, and 70) °C and pressures of (13.6, 20.4, and 27.2) MPa. The fractionated fish oil samples collected were then esterified using methanol (with sodium methoxide catalyst). The samples were analyzed by GC to determine the amount of four fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) components extracted, namely, methyl palmitate, methyl oleate, methyl EPA (5,8,11,14, and methyl DHA (4,7,10,13,16,19docosahexenoate). The experimental results showed that the highest solubility of the fish oil (0.921 g of oil/100 g of CO 2 ) was obtained at optimum conditions of 40 °C and 27.2 MPa. The solubility of fish oil in supercritical carbon dioxide was found to be higher at lower temperature and at lower fractionation time. Furthermore, the average yield obtained for the combined total of the four FAME components was 66 %. Methyl palmitate recorded the highest value of 30.5 % at extraction conditions of 50 °C and 13.6 MPa. Methyl EPA has the lowest value of 3.24 %.
