Education plays a significant role in growth of mind and individual income as it helps an individual in contributing to society in a positive way. It positively affects the attitude of an individual in adjusting to the society and adds in economic and societal growth. The main objective of education is to reshape the personalities and attitudes of people to build a better society and grow the economy. In this way, women education becomes more important. There is a common saying, “If a man is educated, an individual is educated, and if a women is educated, the entire family is educated”. The distance learning mode of education has been recognized as a great resource to give equal access to education to the women from remote areas of developing countries including Pakistan. However, proper quality assurance systems are to be placed for distance and open education in order to avoid its misuse and to ensure uncompromised education. With this backdrop, the main objective of the present study was to assess the role of distance education in extending and promoting women education. The nature of the study was quantitative and survey type. The masters students {MA (Education)/MEd level} of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) enrolled for spring semester-2018 to spring-2019, all the tutors of postgraduate Teacher Education Programs of AIOU, academicians relating to distance education and formal education programs were the population of this study. Due to lack of resources, and constraints of time and scope of the study, it was limited to four regions that were randomly sampled. A total number of 300 students from relevant programs were randomly selected i.e., 75 students from each region. 100 tutors of relevant programs were randomly sampled by selecting 25 tutors from each region. Questionnaires were used as research instruments. SPSS was used for data analysis. The data were analyzed and interpreted by applying statistical method of percentage and mean scores. The results show that the distance education has positively contributed towards women education. It has also improved their social, social skills, communication skills and the skills required for employment and entrepreneurship. The results further show that distance education has benefited the remotely located women in the country.  However, the quality aspects of distance education need to be addressed to enhance further benefits to women who opt for distance education.

In today's world, Knowledge Management is considered as a key to organizational growth and competitiveness. This study aim was to investigate the perception of teachers about main factors affecting the teaching learning process in adopting and applying Knowledge Management. The main objectives of the study were (i) to explore the existing Knowledge Management Practices of teachers in International Islamic University Islamabad (ii) to find out the difficulties regarding knowledge management and (iii) to examine the factors affecting the application of Knowledge Management Practices in improving the performance of teachers. Qualitative method was used as mode of inquiry. Data was collected through an Interview guide. Concurrent exploratory design was used in the study while collecting and analyzing data. Qualitative data was analyzed through content analysis and percentage.

Quality has attained paramount importance in 21th century. A quality higher education system is essential to the successful development and functioning of an open and democratic. The main purpose of this study was to explore the factors influence quality of education at college level in Pakistan. It was quantitative study the nature of the study was descriptive and survey type. This study was delimited to all colleges of Punjab Province. All principals, teachers and students of degree colleges in government degree colleges of Punjab was population of the study.  Systematical sampling techniques was used in the selection of the sample. In this way total No. of students, teachers and principals were 540, 180 and 18 respectively. Self-developed questionnaires were used as research tools. Three questionnaires were used one for students, second for teachers and third for heads of the institutes. Validity of the research tools were ensured through expert opinions while the reliability of the questionnaires for this study were determined through the Cronbach Alpha. The questionnaires were administered through prepaid postage and e-mail to the respective respondents but where applicable these were personally and by friends handed over to the respondents. The male respondents were also be reminded by telephone calls. Data was cleaned and codified before undertaking its statistical analysis with the help of SPSS. Statistical tools including mean, standard deviation and t-test was used for this purpose.

The main purpose of this study was to evaluate Islamic Studies textbook regarding integral model of peace education at higher secondary school level in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It was qualitative and evaluative study. Stafflebeam model of evaluation CIPP (Content, Input, Process and Product) was used to evaluate Islamic Studies textbook at higher secondary level in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The Islamic studies textbook was taken the population of the study. The main purpose of this study was to find out the components of peace education in the Islamic Studies textbook for example, human rights, patriotism, humanity, peace building, stability in society, etc. Critical discourse analysis technique of data analysis was used in this study. In critical discourse analysis technique all the components of peace education was identified and critically explained all the components of peace education was discussed and how much it was discussed. And critically explain all the components of peace education.

Problem based learning (PBL) approach has attained prominence due to its novelty in higher education. Problem based learning is pedagogical shift from traditional educational approaches to innovative educational approaches. Problem based learning alerts and challenges to classical and traditional assessment approaches because PBL is concerned with unique assessment approaches. Alternative pedagogies and assessment approaches enhance and give new insights to the effectiveness of PBL at higher education level. Students of higher education institutions learn through cognitions, socialization and experimental connections. Different students make different cognitive, social and experiential connections. This new phenomena has given new insights to the idea of shift of pedagogical paradigm in higher education with focus of teaching to learning. This approach has got prominence in scientific research and has equal importance in various fields of knowledge. It is equally important in other fields of knowledge. The major objective of this study was to explore the impact of higher education problem based learning in comparative perspectives of Malaysia and Pakistan. The participants of the study were included from Malaysia and Pakistan. Cross sectional research design has been used to analyze the collected data to achieve the objectives of the study. The study is significant for researchers in higher education institutions in comprehending the impact of higher education problem based learning in 21st century.
