RESUMOAnalisou-se um processo de tingimento de tecido de malha de algodão, utilizado na confecção de camisetas. Foram abordados os consumos de água, energia elétrica e térmica, emissão de dióxido de carbono na atmosfera e a toxicidade aguda (CE50) para Daphnia similis. O tingimento apresentou um consumo de água de 17,5 litros, consumo das energias elétrica e térmica em 6,47 × 10 5 Joules, com emissão de 8,72 × 10 17 moléculas de CO2 na atmosfera, apresentando alta toxicidade para o microrganismo testado. O consumo de água foi equivalente a um banho com duração de 6 minutos e o consumo de energia compara-se a utilização de um microondas doméstico durante aproximadamente 15 minutos no aquecimento de um prato pronto.
