RESUMOA área avaliada é de cerrado stricto sensu no município de Peixe-TO onde foram estudados parâmetros florísticos, fitossociológicos e de produtividade (volume, estoque de carbono e biomassa aéreos) com o objetivo de determinar o potencial de uso madeireiro e não madeireiro. O método utilizado foi a instalação de inventário florestal sistemático temporário sendo as variáveis analisadas: altura total (m), CAP (valores ≥ 16 cm), posição sociológica, qualidade do fuste, categorias sucessionais e identificação botânica. Para determinar a produtividade foram utilizadas equações consagradas na literatura florestal. Foram identificados 492 indivíduos arbóreos, pertencentes a 51 espécies e 25 famílias botânicas. As famílias que se destacaram em riqueza foram: Leguminosa-caesalpinoidea (107), Apocinaeceae (93), Vochysiaceae (40). As estimativas do estoque de carbono aéreo foram de 19,18 ton.ha ) estão nas classes inferiores a 16 cm, com uso exclusivo para lenha e carvão. Com uso potencial para estaca e lapidados, estima-se um volume de 2,94 m³.ha1 (16,79% do total). Foram encontrados 3,8% de indivíduos com potencial para serraria (DAP > 31 cm). Em relação aos usos não madeireiros, verificou-se potencial das espécies para recuperação de áreas degradadas, arborização, paisagismo e ornamentação.
