Practical lessons in vocational education have been being got much attention from practitioners because of its importance. Additionally, the required 21st-century skills nowadays should be accommodated by educational programs so as to produce graduates that could survive. The aims of this study are to understand the required learning activities that students need to do in order to prepare their practical lesson, to produce educational media based on the flipped classroom model in the practical lesson and to examine the feasibility of the educational media. This is a Research and Development (R&D) study that used the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The result of this study is the learning activities including accessing the sources of knowledge, looking at simulation videos, and exercising the quiz. In addition, there is developed media based on the flipped classroom model covered in an online learning management system that contains fundamental articles, simulation videos, job sheet, and quiz. Besides, the level of feasibility of the educational media is in good category that means the educational media is feasible to be used in that practical lesson.
Coronavirus Disease or COVID-19 causes a serious affect in different divisions of life, including in education. At the present time, exercises at school have been incidentally suspended, but learning must proceed to be carried out to give what students need. The solution offered in dealing with the current pandemic is by doing online learning. However, the conditions in the field of teachers were not ready for online learning, it was found that the percentage of availability of online learning resources at Public Vocational School 53 Jakarta was only 44%. Therefore, this study aims to develop Edmodo application and Zoom-based online learning resource with problem-based learning (PBL) models on accelerated linear motion material. This type of research is an educational research and development with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Assessment of online learning resource was carried out by physics, material experts, learning experts and media experts. Testing was carried out at Public Vocational School 53 Jakarta by 35 class X students and filling out the teacher response questionnaire. The result of this research is an online learning resources using the PBL model on accelerated linear motion material (GLBB). The online learning resource which developed include the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKS), and Handout. The results of the media feasibility validation test were obtained 98%, for the feasibility of physics, material obtained 81%, and the feasibility of learning physics was obtained 86%. From the results of the feasibility test with the teacher, it was obtained 94%. Based on the interpretation of the Likert scale, online learning resource is categorized as “very good”. So, it can be concluded that the online learning resources that has been developed is suitable for use in learning physics at Public Vocational School.
The purpose of this research was to develop a learning media in a form of android application using Sketchware for students of Department of Physics Education in State University of Jakarta taking Earth and Space Sciences course. This research used the method of ADDIE model for research and development. This research was done through five stages. On the first stage, questionnaire was issued to the students of Department of Physics Education for needs assessment. The second stage, design of broad guidelines of media content for android application development guidance such as flowchart and storyboard were made. The third stage was the development of prototype and media validation by chosen experts. The next stage was small group testing experiment which involved 15 participants of students, followed up with bigger group testing experiment which involved 40 students as participants. The last stage was evaluation and final product. Based on the results of validating the feasibility of learning media using Sketchware on rukyat and hilal reckoning materials, the application was declared "Very Valid" by material experts, linguists, and media experts, and received a “Very Valid” category response from students.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
