Quality is a benchmark to determine the level of good and bad of a product. The level of quality of a product will affect customer satisfaction, hence, to produce high quality products, it is necessary for a company to have a quality control process. Quality control is a process that aims to maintain the quality of products and services that have been promised to consumers. In this study, quality control is carried out in the sugar packaging process. Where in the sugar packaging process found the resulting product has a poor quality, defective and not in accordance with specifications. This study uses the Statistical Process Control (SPC) method which aims to determine the causes of defective products with the intention that the packaging process can further minimize the level of product defects. The SPC method is a statistical analysis technique with seven statistical tools or seven tools. Based on the results of the study it can be seen that the cause of product damage / defects in the product packaging process is caused by three types of damage namely damage due to conveyor (38.17%), damage due to machine pinched (35.82%), and damage due to loose seams (26,00%) This type of damage can be caused by human error and other factors such as engine condition, engine cleanliness and the monitoring process. Proposed improvements recommended for the company are to provide training to employees, make clear work instructions, conduct periodic maintenance for the machines used, supervise all work areas, and carry out quality control for every acceptance of raw materials.
The computerized system is closely related to today’s office works. Computer works with high intensity of repetition and awkward posture can cause harm or risk. This can cause discomfort in several areas of the body. Therefore, an office ergonomics assessment that focuses on humans as the most important component is needed to determine the impact and causes of the discomfort problem. In this study, MIRTH Office is used as the assessment tools. The questionnaire consists of two parts, namely general information and conformity assessment. The data processing stage in this study consisted of problem identification and problem grouping. The results showed that most of the respondents experienced pain in the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists and lower back. These results indicate the need of ergonomics intervention as early as possible to prevent the risk of musculoskeletal disorders.
Website is an important part of any organization namely in the government, business, health and education sectors. In the world of higher education, website can be used to disseminate information related to campus life as well as a medium for promoting the existence of the campus to the outside world. As a higher education institution, Polytechnic ATI Padang own a website which is used to display various information about campus academic activities. In its management, the level of user satisfaction of the website of Polytechnic ATI Padang has never been measured. The Webqual 4.0 method used in this study aims to measure the satisfaction of internal website users by looking at the dimensions of Usability, Information Quality, Interaction Quality and Customer Satisfaction. Measurements performed by using a questionnaire instrument with Likert scale then calculated with the help of SPSS software. The results obtained that the independent variables, namely Usability, Information Quality, Interaction Quality have an influence on the dependent variable Customer Satisfaction of 70.1% and there are still 29.9% of other independent variables that can affect the dependent variable Customer Satisfaction. Furthermore, based on the results of the calculation of the satisfaction level with Likert scale, it was found that the variables of Usability, Information Quality, Interaction Quality and Customer Satisfaction received a satisfied interpretation, so it can be concluded that the Polytechnic ATI Padang website provides good service to its users.
PT. Semen Padang is one of the cement producers competing to meet the needs of the cement. To that end, PT. Semen Padang must ensure the availability of cement on time, quantity, location and at competitive rates. One way to achieve this by optimizing the distribution system because it will be able to maximize sales and increase corporate profits. In this research, the distribution network planning model of PT. Semen Padang considering the cost of transportation, facility capacity, time, and uncertain demand. This model aims to minimize the total cost of product distribution and cost of opening the buffer warehouse and Packing Plant and maximize responsiveness to customers considering the uncertain parameters by using Fuzzy Multi-Objective Programming method. Based on the results of the research, had obtained the product distribution network planning model by using the fuzzy multi-objective programming method with the output is the opening of Packing Plant and buffer warehouse and the amount of product delivery to the final consumer with minimum cost and time of distribution. Search solution or output model assisted with Software Lingo 17.0. The designed model is able to explain the change of output if there are any changes in parameters covering demand between marketing areas, transportation costs between marketing areas and vehicle speed in transporting products from the last distribution center to the marketing area. The model can be implemented in the distribution network planning of PT. Semen Padang by using data in accordance with the conditions in the field.
