New dinuclear cyclopentadienylrhenium derivatives with four bridging sulfur ligands have been
synthesized and characterized. The disulfide ligands
in
[Cp‘Re(μ-S2)]2Cl2
have been found to react with dihydrogen, acetylene, and ethene under mild conditions.
