Nearly one-third of children in Broken Hill, New South Wales, maintained blood lead levels below the recommended threshold of 5 µg/dL between 2009 and 2015 • This study highlights the significance of early lead exposure in the first 12 months of life and the clustering of children with very high blood lead levels (≥10 µg/ dL) in some localities, as well as their widespread distribution throughout Broken Hill • The findings could inform future prevention strategies resulting in a further sustained reduction in children's blood lead levels
