In den vergangenen Jahren, vor allem aber auch im Erscheinungsjahr dieses Bandes, sind eine ganze Reihe von Büchern zu Anwendungsfeldern der Traumapädagogik erschienen, und -um es vorwegzunehmen -dieser Band ist eine sehr gute Wahl für den Bereich Jugendhilfe. Entstanden ist das Buch im Zusammenhang mit traumapädagogischen Fortbildungen, und er ist unter anderem eine Fundgrube für bereits in der Praxis erprobte Handlungsmöglichkeiten, die den Umgang mit von Traumatisierung betroffenen Kindern und Jugendlichen erleichtern. Wie Martin Baierl feststellt, übersteigt die Zahl der betroffenen Kinder und Jugendlichen in den Einrichtungen der Jugendhilfe die Zahl der nicht betroffenen bei weitem, auch wenn bis jetzt in der Regel keine systematischen Erhebungen zur Vorgeschichte in diesem Punkt erfolgten.Teil A, Grundwissen und Grundinterventionen, stammt aus der Feder von Martin Baierl, einem der Herausgeber. Man kann sich bei ihm darauf verlassen, dass das Feld gründlich und fundiert bearbeitet wird. Die fachlichen Grundlagen werden in acht Kapiteln dargestellt, die jeweils eine thematisch so klare Einheit darstellen, dass man sich auch gut einzeln mit ihnen beschäftigen kann, wenn ein Aspekt intensiver interessiert. Dennoch gehören natürlich alle Inhalte zur Grundausstattung einer guten Arbeit mit von Traumatisierung betroffenen jungen Menschen (und das möchte ich nicht auf Erzieher im stationären Bereich beschränkt wissen; auch andere Fachleute wie Therapeutinnen oder Kollegen in der ambulanten Arbeit können von dem Buch profitieren). So werden zunächst Grundkenntnisse über Traumatisierungen und ihre Folgen abgehandelt; dabei konzentriert sich der Autor besonders auf Dinge, die im alltäglichen Umgang eine große Bedeutung haben. Dem 2. Kapitel »Werte und Haltung in der Traumapädagogik« ist anzumerken, dass M. Baierl dies für einen entscheidenden Faktor hält. Die allgemein anerkannte Basis jeden Umgangs mit von Traumatisierung Betroffenen, die Schaffung eines sicheren Ortes, weitet Baierl im 3. Kapitel aus zu fünf sicheren Orten, und hier erläutert er auch sein Konzept der »professionellen Nähe«. Auch wenn dieses ausführlich geschildert und mit Grafiken veranschaulicht ist, kann ich mir vorstellen, dass es nicht für jeden nur durch Lektüre leicht nachzuvollziehen ist. Im 4. Kapitel zur Diagnostik findet sich unter anderem eine hilfreiche Grundlage, um Ergebnisse zusammenzufassen und für weitere Schritte z. B in der Erziehungsplanung zu nutzen. Sehr wertvoll, sowohl vom Aufbau als auch von den vielen sehr praktischen Anregungen her, ist das ausführliche 5. Kapitel »Konkrete Techniken und Methoden der Traumapädagogik«. Die weniger ausführlichen, dennoch informativen Kapitel zu Elternarbeit, Vernetzung und Mitarbeiterfürsorge/Selbstfürsorge beschließen den ersten Teil.
