The presence of amoebae in sterile pus suggests: (1) That amoebae may play an important part in the production of (leep abscesses found in this country. (2) That the pus from such abscesses should as a routine be examined for l)rotozoa, with a view to establishing a causal relationship slhould sucll exist.
