Free vibrations of a low-power reduction gear engaged with a hydraulic pump of the test rig are discussed. Vibration analysis is performed with the finite element representation and commercial ANSYS program. Vibration analysis of an examined system is conducted in the two stages. The natural frequencies of free transverse vibrations of the gears are first generated, and on the basis of the Campbell diagrams, the excitation speeds for several natural frequencies of examined gears are calculated. Then the free vibrations of a reduction gear are analyzed, and two computational cases are presented. In the first case, only the mass and geometry of all parts of the body are considered. In the second case, the mass of tooth gears is also taken into account. Based on the FE models, the first ten natural frequencies and natural mode shapes of a reduction gear are calculated. Then, these results are used to estimate the stress level in the walls of the body for a permissible acceleration value. As expected, smaller stress values for a permissible acceleration value are obtained for the second finite element model of the system. The problems discussed here can be helpful for engineers dealing with the dynamics of gear systems.
Abstract. The development of computer techniques and computational systems based on the finite element method allows one to conduct a free vibration analysis of large systems like an aviation gearbox test rig. The object of this paper is to present a free vibration analysis of a gear fatigue test rig working in a closed loop configuration. A numerical model of the test rig based on the finite element method is presented in this paper. The base model contains all the essential structures of the real system. After the numerical results of the natural frequencies of the rig were obtained, they were then verified by the experimental results on a real object. Numerical analysis was performed using the ANSYS code.

TRANSVERSE VIBRATION ANALYSIS OF A COMPOUND ANNULAR PLATE WITH CYCLIC SYMMETRY MODELLINGSummary: In this article the transverse vibration of an arbitrary chosen annular plate with complex geometry is analysed on basis of the finite element (FE) method. The investigation is led to preparing the FE models by using cyclic symmetry modelling approach. Three numerical models are proposed and analysed. The received results are discussed and compared with the experimental results. FE models are prepared by using ANSYS software. Keywords: transversal vibration, cyclic symmetry model, annular plate.
W publikacji [3], autorzy omówili drgania poprzeczne własne i wymuszone dysku turbiny wraz z łopatkami. W analizie stosowali różne metody numeryczne (MES i inne) oraz wykorzystali własności cyklicznej symetrii układu. Także w pracach [4,5], autorzy wykorzystali własności cyklicznej symetrii w analizie drgań poprzecznych płyt pierścieniowych o złożonym kształcie. W pracy [5], płyty pierścieniowe stanowiły uproszczone modele kół zębatych. W artykule [4], omówiono wstępnie zagadnienia związane z dokładnością modeli z cykliczną symetrią. Prowadzone badania symulacyjne zweryfikowano dostępnymi, dla wybranych przypadków, danymi eksperymentalnymi. Publikacja książkowa [2], jest jedną z nowszych pozycji literaturowych omawiających kompleksowo zagadnienia teoretyczne drgań układów ciągłych i dyskretnych oraz metodykę pomiaru drgań.W niniejszej publikacji omówione zostaną drgania własne poprzeczne płyt pierścieniowych o złożonym kształcie. W analizie wykorzystana zostanie metoda elementów skończonych. Rozpatrzone zostaną zagadnienia budowy modeli MES
